System List of VF5FS GamePlay additions to 5U!

-I have no Idea. I just brought over the info from VFDC so that we can have it over here. I am pretty sure DOA5U will have its own twists to the very same elements, just have to test it all out and post it here!

    doa5u impressions thread

-Well, from my time with the game, Team Ninja was not lying when they said that this was not just a mere update where they could just patch it to Vanilla 5. The game feels totally different(kinda brand new). The characters hit harder now, are faster, animation was slightly revamped, tweaked Side...

So who IS satisfied with their characters?

I am more than satisfied with Tina so far. The game feels great, and the changes made make Tina feel a hell of a lot more like her 3.1 self. Some overall changes here and there, but for the most part superior to her 3.1 counterpart!

System List of VF5FS GamePlay additions to 5U!

-Are you talking about heavy bounds? Where the opponent is slammed really hard to the ground, and the opponent stands back up for a bit before falling back down? If so, its in 5U, but im not sure if Jacky still retain that property.

System List of VF5FS GamePlay additions to 5U!

FLOP- A Flop attack launches the opponent high into the air first, before they drop hard onto the ground, producing the same leg flopping animation as a Slam. During a Flop the opponent cannot perform Fall Recovery. Blast Back- A Blast Back attack knocks the opponent far away skidding on their...

Tina's New Ground Game in DOA5U

-Sure. Tina's Oki is 3.1 was pretty much straight forward(so was most of the cast). From slam attacks you get free down attacks, but it was best for Tina to always go with the more powerful ground throw. Her :4::p:+:k: was always used to crush all wake up kicks. There was a technique I used to...

So how do you play this game?

-You are looking at it wrong. Launching a staggered opponent should never be a priority or goal to reach max threshold. The same effort it takes to Stagger your opponent, you can use a counter strike, and get a good bounce from bounds, which will result in a good launch+decent damage. Which...

So who IS satisfied with their characters?

-All that force tech stuff is left over DOA4 nonsense. Tina is and always should be about getting that guaranteed ground game damage. Her ground game in 5U is actually a buff. She is more of a threat now, and is kinda back to her 3.1 threatening self lol.

Tina's New Ground Game in DOA5U

-Things are not all doom and gloom in 5U land lol. This is not DOA4, so force techs good riddance lol. Think about it, nothing was guaranteed from them, just more guessing! With their removal, Tina now has more guaranteed ground game damage. This is what she is all about! This is what all Tina...

So how do you play this game?

-Who Ayane? Yes she is great at confusion~whiff punishment. We as competitive players need to know that our games have to be built around a solid foundation. When we do, we realize that our move selection decreases, and we use our character's most powerful tools, techniques and setups only. The...

So how do you play this game?

-No problem! DOA from the very beginning gives off the impression that its mindless guessing. A major hurdle is that the game doesn't steer you away from that, it takes the player to have the will power to move beyond that. I did....and now look, we have a Doa community where we are all enjoying...

So how do you play this game?

-Trust me, 5U is not going to boil down to DOA4 style guessing. The game is too far away from that!

The NEW Stagger Escape System (the change)

-Yeah it is. However, from my experience it was always a lot easier to struggle using a stick. A matter of fact, despite the series being very playable on pad, it always felt more natural to play using a stick. You get superior accuracy when hitting commands, more ways to buffer commands, and...

So how do you play this game?

-The oki is more akin to that of 3.1. which had a very strong oki game. Players will now need to use down :p: or :k: to force their opponent off the ground, and apply pressure. And like 3.1, players will need to use alot more uramawari, and attacks that force grounded opponents on wake up to...

The NEW Stagger Escape System (the change)

Interesting. I like how there is now a definite way to execute stagger escaping, makes it more legit...a true defensive technique. As for ease of use, I actually prefer that struggling out of staggers would easily reduced them to minor/mid frame disadvantage(ie. -2 to -5). I say this because it...
