It’s been a few weeks right? Skimming over the forums in preparation for this rundown, I was happy to see that Freestepdodge hasn’t lost its knack for interesting discussions about needlessly discussable topics. Rounding out this week’s truncated edition of the Top forum threads are two different problems thrown up by Chapstik and Rachel the Fiend Slayer (respectively).

I got into a long discussion Friday night, on Xbox Live, with a group of fighting game players who were testing the waters in Dead or Alive for the first time. One of their main gripes with the game is the lack of customization options for the individual characters. These were mainly Tekken/Soul Caliber players, so maybe their expectations of personalizing their avatar was tempered by the, very, gaudy tailoring system Namco equips their brawlers with – but their issues are still very understandable.

I think that’s one of the key components that Dead or Alive as a series fails to execute on and those are the points that each thread, in a round about way, seeks to address. If it were up to me I’d be able to put dread locks on Rig; Bayman’s body armor on Kasumi; Lisa’s rat skin coat on Hayabusa and Hitomi would now, and FOREVER, be the president of the itty bitty titty committee. However, as it stands now, our outlet is FSD; waiting, hoping, praying that Team Ninja ignores this and every other non balance thread on our forum.

Because if I ever see Zack rocking this:

Somebody is going to be waking up with Julius Rage laying next to them holding a machete.

And I'm not talking about the one in my underwear.
