Tried out the photo mode, it's what I expected. It's decent since like DOA and DOA6, you can take pics of action shots and such, and the filters and water effects are pretty cool. I think the best thing about the mode is that you can hide P1 or P2, enable effects, enable the HUD, and you can choose the camera lens type which is interesting.
Also something cool I noticed is that if you hide and then enable a character from view again, it'll somewhat fix their hair so that way if it looked messy or all over the place(Lili has this happen alot since her hair in game can go over her shoulders alot and the wind can also make it free flow) it'll revert it to a better placement.
Only thing the mode isn't good with is that the visuals aren't as polished during a match as they are during intros/outros and rage arts, I'm guessing since they use a pre canned lighting and higher visuals during those only so the game runs smooth. Only thing is... unless you're on PC and have the unreal engine unlocker thing, you can't take pics during intros or outros, and the game won't even let you move the camera during heat engage run ins, heat bursts, heat smash angles, and during rage arts which suck since those have alot of visual potential like being able to see Bryan tpose, Lili dancing during her rage art, etc.
Overall I rate it 7/10, good effort since it'll definitely add some photography potential for thumbnails and for more casual shots, but it missed even more meme opportunity by gating it, and the controls are somewhat clunky
Will definitely continue using unreal engine unlocker more but it'll be a useful feature for more match based shots
