I believe those were Japanese casuals. I'm thinking the people at the loketest will be a different kind of beast, especially because of people from other games curious about DOA will probably try it.

No, I think it was the competitive players in Japan that didn't favor these things. I forget who it was I spoke with (it was sometime early this year), but talked about how the japanese players favor the 50/50s (the randomness of DOA4) over guarantees and an offensive ground game.

Hmm, interesting. This is only hearsay and I can't substantiate it, but I've read on this site that the best Japanese DOA players were only average at best back then. I've also heard that more recently, they are against DOA4 style gameplay and are favouring guaranteed stuff, but once again, hearsay. Either way, it likely won't only be DOA players at the loketest, but other interested parties, which may try to steer DOA frame data and balance to be more in line with other games for better or worse.

As I've said, it's just what I was told back then (I think it was like in Jan-Feb). So that leaves a lot of time for a change of opinion.

But, I have heard the same recently. I think Mr.Wah or Rikuto said so recently. At the very least, it's good to see the japanese players and western players are on the same page about guarantees

They've said numerous times 5U is it for the consoles. Either we're getting that character in this game or not until DOA6 in the future.

A wild video has appeared!
Someone on the DOA World forums posted it.
It looks like half of her style is Systema-y while the other half looks Lili-y.

Also, notice the character portraits and names above the lifebar now. I wonder if it's because the arcade monitors are 16:10 or that's a change that consoles will get as well...

Her idle and blocking stances look retarded. Love her taunt where she just walks away though. Assuming that's a taunt, anyway.

Not sure what I think of her moveset.

C2 is hideous.
