Arcades don't make as much money as consoles do. If they did Tecmo would not have quit making DOA games for them. Since vanilla DOA5, TN has been trying to make DOA more recognized as a competitive game. In Japan, the competitive players are all in arcades, not on consoles, hence why there's a DOA5U:AE in the first place. TN is also granting another concession to the JPN competitive players by holding location tests. In the west, arcades are dead and all competitive players are on consoles. TN is not going to shit all over the work they put into making DOA seem legitimate by having the vast majority of competitve DOA players only have access to an inferior version. Chances are that there will either be a side by side release or a slight delay between arcade and console (to squeeze out a few dollars from impatient people).
