Me ? Ruin DOA? I'd like to see a single mother fucker around the world who is supporting DOA more than I am.

If anything I'm trying to save it.

I'm going to be posting something really big really soon... something probably nobody saw coming.
you know what? fuck it ... I'll just leave this here and let you all speculate your tiny dicks off because frankly I don't give two fucks what a handful of heavily pimpled masturbating teens at the peek of their hormone levels think at this point.

Thank you for helping DOA @EMPEROR_COW people these days will defend or try to make it work in actuality it's making the game worse. People in this community will always think about themselves before helping the community in general if it works with me then that's not a problem. Also i really don't like the disrespect towards you and MASTER for trying to save this game on twitter because the offline scene is slipping and that is not a good sign. You realize it was a Fighting game everyone else puts 'Sex appeal" over "Improving the Fighting game" and costumes don't help you play better.KT will not stop making costumes I understand so everyone who's buying them is happy as for the offline scene it's supposed to grow bigger sadly not that fast. We have a problem it's time you figure out why and "leaving this game alone isn't fixing the issues" i better leave before I get into a debate with a FAN/CASUAL who doesn't go offline so i'm done here.

Marie has a gravure video, i offically can no longer under any cirumstance defend this game. Needless to say i'm just more aggravated at this point because how the fuck can you defend that.
Well..., it was to be expected. All the other girls have one, including someone the same age as Marie (Ayane). The other new (female) characters are getting one as well.

I mean, I didn't like the gravure vids from the start, but if they were going to do it, I can see see why'd they do it for all of the (female) characters minus Alpha-152, Pai, and Sarah.

Yeah, she looks young but...honestly, I'm gonna go with I've definitely seen worse. That's not the be-all-end-all defense by any means, but... Yeah.

There's a lot of interesting points here, honestly. It's kind of hard for me to add anything to this, considering that a lot of it has been said already. It's true that DOA was known for it's sex appeal, and it's honesty towards it. However, a lot of people are tired of them using ONLY that to promote their game. Take a look at the pre-alpha trailer for DOA5 vanilla for instance. It didn't show sex appeal, and a lot of people were still hype.

I doubt Sega AM2 would allow it myself.

Hey drop that E-Penis down and come out with your hands up.

Good for you that you are making yourself heard, but that attitude is seriously not welcoming of a discussion bro.

And lines like "drop that E-Penis down" are welcoming of a discussion?

Only put that up because of how COW is virtually acting exactly how the filthy casuals have been acting at him for his crusade.

EDIT: OMG, COW, don't tell you grabbed that from GAMEfaqs? You really trying to start random shit in the fanbase now?

This raises a different question now: If the DOA males were given the same amount of sexualization as the females, would the issue be as big as the community and others make it? A lot of time, people complain the males don't get enough attention, but to be honest, I do not find many of the male characters in DOA interesting (Brad Wong and Hayabusa aside). In terms of sexualization, some of the guys already fill that role: Eliot is the pretty boy, Ein has some sexy outfits, Bayman with his strong masculine features, Jann Lee showing off his body, etc. It isn't really fair to say the guys haven't received the same treatment, because they kind of have. Hell, there's an MMA pack for the guys, and most of them are shirtless and a lot of the costumes for the guys have them shirtless or in sexy, half naked costumes. Even in the recent Policeman DLC, Bass and Rig look like male strippers in their uniforms. Sure, the guys may not have as much costumes as the females, but it's always been that way for the males.

Again, this does not matter. That's just an issue from a overhaul. This is not the biggest problem considering if it's oversexualized or not.

That's covering it up with more butter to avoid the topic. You wrote"If the DOA males were given the same amount of sexualiz-" Stop.

Well, I am in the camp that finds DOA5's sexualization to be very tame compared to, say, Rumble Roses and Girl Fight. And as it's been stated before, the game can be as sexual as you want it to be. DLC is optional, so TN isn't forcing you to download DLC you don't want. They're even nice enough to make catalogs as the only way to see costumes you many not find appealing at all.

TN isn't forcing us to download the catalogs, yes that is true.......................................except for Xbox.

However your camp is completely different to the topic at hand here. Adding that "What if the male had the same treament." stuff does not matter. Male or Female, go read the topic then come back and read your own.

I've read the topic and understand it fully. I even stated how I felt. But one of the discussions kind of makes it seem like one of the issues is that males don't get the same attention. Regardless, it's clear that most fans care more about the gameplay than the cosmetic things. Let TN pander to the casuals and let them spend their money on costumes (I know I do lol) that we may or may not agree with. All we can do as a community is speak with our wallets.

The answer to that is...no.

You can see that in Street Fighter, you can see that in Tekken, you can see that in Virtua Fighter, you can see it in every single game that doesn't try to subvert the beautiful people type stuff.

People love to complain about women because in some of the weirdest case of possible sexism I know of, men can't be sexy enough to pose a problem like females can. I really can't get this logic as I know there's someone whose heard of the Hawkeye Initiative where they make the male superheroes pose the same way the females do in an ATTEMPT to show how ridiculous the female poses are...but they miss the point in that males and females are sexy for different reasons.

A Man is as skimpy in a speedo as a woman is in bra and panties, yet people act more outraged at the female than the male because only WOMEN can be sexy skimpy and handsome isn't on the same level as sexy apparently. There's a reason why I shake my head in abject wonder when people honestly tell me that no one EVER had a problem with Rufus...when I remember clearly that he wasn't well liked for his appearance and ONLY gained the support he did when Justin Wong played him and even then, he STILL isn't that liked compared to Crimson Viper, Juri Han and Hakan.

All I get from this is that apparently only women can be sexy in the most obvious way while a man...just cannot be which is why people will never point out how ridiculously overbuff and usually shirtless the males is in Street Fighter or Tekken, but cry a river if a woman dares wears something that's gender specific.

Side note. Why is that called the Hawkeye initiative? I remember the outrage at the cover art of Spider-Woman in a supposedly erotic arched back crawling position, and critics complained how its sexist and you'd never see a male in a pose like that...only for everyone to point out that she was simply mimicking Spider-MANS usual cover art poses, which brought the whole argument crumbling down and made the critics look like idiots lol.

But on this topic as a whole, I just can't stop shaking my head in disbelief.

"DOA is the most sexual fighter!"

*looks at DOA which has virtually no sexual content aside from optional dlc packs*

*looks over at other fighters which feature gag boobs as primary character traits, straight up sexual moaning noises and poses during fights, constant innuendos, at least one dominatrix with a whip, all female casts with every frame designed to see T&A, so on and so forth...*

I mean the gravure and omg modes aren't helping, but they seem more like tongue in cheek mockeries of sexualization, parodies, than legitimately trying to be sexy.

It reminds me of someone getting mad and claiming racism at Borderlands 2 because they claimed Tiny Tina was using "Verbal Blackface". I'm just going "But you are totally fine with BRICK, who is a far worse offender of that?"

Like...the argument could have been valid if it weren't aimed at the one in the group who barely making the offense at all, when there's far worse right next to them.

Well I wouldn't say virtually no sexual content but I agree it's nothing out of the ordinary and on par with other games (bewb options aside). And like I've said they will continue to release because it sells well. Look at LR preorders: more swimsuits and more gravures.
