    after playing Sekiro and Nioh, i have to say im not a huge fan of the whole "deplete the enemy's stamina to open them up for big damage" mechanic, especially on bosses

    Honestly FromSoftware have been like this for ages (including Demon's Souls and prior). They've never been anything more than a mediocre developer, that got lucky that the Dark Souls games appeals to the "Hardcore, brutal punishing difficulty" crowd. Team NINJA made a better Soulsborne game in one try with Nioh.

    I am talking about things like directional inputs such as kicks, jump attacks or varying attack patterns instead of your standard 3 hit slashes and charges. I find the arm upgrades quite frankly underwhelming. I think Demon and Dark Souls were accidents, like whoops we made great games. I loved these 2 but they never moved on, only recycled and swapped a few things. I was sick of From after Dks2

    honestly most of my deaths came from me trying to play it like a souls game, which it tottaly isn't, but once you understand that you're a sneaky ninja, not a tanky warrior, it clicks and it gets alot easier from there, boss fights are still a bitch though

    Hours into Sekiro and so far my only gripe is that parry and block are bound to the same button, and that some enemies require jumping to kill like we're playing gosh darn mario, but other than that, game is dope, and once I get out the souls mindset I'll enjoy it even more
    Hitomi's sweep ain't shit in this game! At least in previous entries you had to SE to make it useless, now it's just useless by default, shame

    +2 on NH, +4 on CH, what's there to fear? especially with fast characters with good crushes? Outside of stages with slipstun this move is laughable

    True. A lot of lows aren't as good as they were in 5 but its still hard to see coming and can be a good mixup after 6T.
    I have pseudo force techs with nico and I don't even use that stupid character

    okay, so it's launch, 8pp, dash, delay (you need to wait till their legs flatten after the ground bounce, do it too soon and you'll hit them in the air and get nothing, do it too late and your ground hit will whiff, sounds complicated but the timing's not that crazy, i don't use nico and even i have the timing down), 2k,2p. beats WU kick and delay WU, and if they tech you're still +5 to +7 so you can still pressure

    you can also swap out the 2k, 2p, with 1p, 2k. also if you use 2k, 2p for the ground hits, make sure you keep 2 held inbetween the inputs, if you press 2p after 2k you get the ground specific 2p, which you don't want

    She seems to be a character who wants to be in your face 24/7, has a lot of crazy and sick stuff for offense and combos/juggles. Kotal will be a whiff punishing monster though.

    Yeah, outside 1P, Diego has nothing. Super slow, very unsafe, terrible hitbox range and no tracking moves. Poor bastard.

    Marie's speed is pretty average.

    5 characters have i9/i11
    2 have i10/i11
    7 have i10/i12 (Marie is here)
    3 have i11/i12
    2 have i10/i13
    and then there's the 6 legitimate slowpokes at the bottom.

    I realize that "fastest poke speed at each hit level" alone isn't necessarily indicative of a character's overall speed, but even with all those considerations, Marie's speed isn't anything notable.
    Who would you say is the most training mode character in doa (i.e they have a lot of cool stuff that works in training mode, but not against actual human opponents)

    Check this out. I've seen players wait a bit when they go for a throw after a BB cancel when I have no meter. I can't exactly break hold here since I have no meter so he/she didn't launch me.

    *Me: Does wake up kick* - "Opponent character yells and it's a KO."

    Me: I mean hey, this is what you get lol. Could of had at least one round but you blew it lol.

    Tbf depending on my opponent, I always see people wasting meter as a better position for me. If I'm confident in winning. Wasting meter works in vice versa.
    Wedding dlc seems like an odd choice for a first pack of dlc :/

    not gonna lie, kinda bugs me that lows that trip in this game are 0 to +1 on NH, something that harmless shouldn't have such an elaborate animation on hit

    @Camel with 2 thumbs Also check Raidou's 1P on NH, took a huge hit, but if you land that on slip on CH it's a free launch into air throw. 102+ of damage, from one low on CH. Imagine no SE and retaining that same stun on any level? lows would be pretty scary.
