    Quest mode in VF4:Evo is one of my favorite single player modes in fighting games with it's unique progression system and A.I, and it looks like T8's Arcade Quest mode is a 1 for 1 copy of that. if T8 can actually pull it off then hell, I'll be racking up more single player hours than multiplayer hours lol

    With fighting games getting mainly developed for console now instead of arcade 1st (if it gets an arcade version) there's going to be some more focus on single player modes because they have to make an actual videogame now and not just "here's a sorry excuse of a story mode, some fillers and online have fun lol" and it was about damn time tbh, now you're truly getting your money's worth if u buy it at full price.

    Competitive Pokémon is fun and all but when you reach that point where you're hunting for mons that only have a 0.0167% chance of appearing, thats when you start to wonder if this shit is worth it :/

    ngl, the more I look at MK1 fatalities, they don't fill me with excitement or hype, but more fill me with a "these ain't as fun as they used to be" kind of feeling, and I suspect that has to do with MK1's graphic looking so good

    looking back at older MK titles, especially the 3D one's, they house my favorite fatalities cuz while we're still brutalizing human bodies, the models are so cartoonish and goofy that it's easier to disconnect and enjoy the spectacle of gore and are good fit for the fantastical tone that MK has

    but as the graphics in MK games get better and were' watching realistically looking human models gettting torn apart in an over the top fashion, those sensibilities just don't mix, it's like

    goofy models + goofy violence = fine
    realistic models + realistic violence = fine

    but you try and mix and match between the two , it just doesn't work out, at least for me

    not the biggest fan ok A.K.I design-wise, but if she's the F.A.N.G replacement which means we get another charge character with solid mid-range zoning, slippery movement and stonk normals, then sheit, bring her on

    A.K.I. looks like she could've been the new recurring main antagonist of the Resident Evil series or someone tied to Kurow Kirishima from Rival Schools... the latter appears to be more plausible and gives SF a better connection to Rival Schools than just Sakura.

    She certainly has an "overly designed main villan from a mid 90's anime" type look, and I think her 2D actually looks good, but once it's in 3D and in motion something about it looks off, dunno if its the color comp or her lighting but something about it makes me go :/

    Hell maybe thats intentional, who knows, but I just want to see what she can actually do

    Had to do a double take when I saw the "TMNT × Street Fighter 6" collab, got me thinking "oh snap SF finally getting guest characters?", but no, its just costumes for the avatar, what a bummer :[

    hey anyone remember when DBZF announced that it was gonna get rollback? that was literally 1 year ago at the previous EVO and they still haven't implemented it, hell the beta test for the rollback hasn't even happened yet, hopefully ppl's hearts are still into DBZF by the time it actually gets the update

    do you feel like DOA should implement something to incentivize whiff punishing? maybe not like a CH state but like extra dmg or something if you catch someone's recovery?

    it's funny cause I was actually thiinking about DOA5 Ayane 4k when I wrote this, moves that on neutral hit cause SDS into guaranteed launcher and from there you can opt for standard combo enders i.e dmg, oki, or positioning, that kind of interaction actually made whiff punishing rewarding and worth it, but sadly the privilage of a viable SDS in neutral was only for a select few

    while characters like Ayane were blessed, most had SDS that only granted advantage(Nyo), could stun off of but not launch (Honoka) or had SDS attached to moves that were too unreliable to land on NH (Ein, Raidou, and others).

    DOA6 does a better job dishing out the unholdable stuns with the Fatal stun, not only giving making it a universal mechanic but also attaching the FS state to more reliable buttons, but fumbles the whole thing by having a meter mechanic that never makes those stuns truly unholdable

    Ngl, Project L looks boring af, just a generic modern ez mode fighter with a LoL skin slapped on it

    No doubt it'll make millions and will be a guaranteed meal ticket for anyone trying to make it in the fgc but still, looks dull as hell

    Will admit, as much as I agree, Project L does have a look to it though.

    Melty Blood for example I absolutely cannot stand it's character designs and aesthetic. It looks fan made every time it pops up on screen in tournaments that I immediately swap to another game to watch lol. MB is a great game overall but lord my eyes on those characters. Project L doesn't suffer from that (least currently.)

    The only exception is Neco-Arc. Whoever made that character is a genius.

    ngl, watching all this T8 Beta footage didn't have me thinking "man, This new Tekken is gonna be amazing!" and had me more thinking "Man, Soul Calibur 7 is gonna be amazing when it eventually comes out!"

    Heat is really the only major difference in its gameplay and even then it's just a 2nd time limited rage mode with a replaced Rage Drive.
    I'm still really excited for the game as I liked Tekken 7s gameplay my issue was the awful online and the severe lack of good single player content.Tekken 8 is 3 unfortunately so the online is still bad but here's hoping they at least fix the dire SP content in 8.

    I like that Tekken 8 is utilizing Unreal Engine 5, though like usdGRUNT implied, it's yet another Tekken game, i.e., Tekken 5.4. I like the graphics, but Tekken's gameplay just feels a bit tired now, if that makes any sense. Tekken 7 already felt a bit dated at times.

    I too am interested in what a current gen SC7 could turn out to be if it ironed out SC6's issues (hell, I'd be open to SC6 with rollback at this point). SC6 was a much better use of UE4 than T7 was.

    Li Mei was always my secondary in every game that she was in (except in the one game where Liu was unplayable due to him being dead so she was my main in that one) so getting my true secondary back makes me happy. Hopefully we'll be getting many 3D MK characters compared to the other new(ish) MK games (they can omit Hsu Hao and MK Ken though, probably no one would miss them).

    MK1 is going to release on Nintendo Switch, I don't know why but I find that hilarious
    Well if the PC version blows chunks (as they tend to do for NRS games) the Nintendo Switch has got your back

    Shame you can't buy individual costumes for characters in DOA5LR on Steam; making a video where Nyo, Kokoro, and Gen Fu are on the beach and I need a swimsuit for Nyo but nooooo, I can't just buy her one I gotta buy a whole variety package that cost 20 bux :/

    I hate that. It's the same thing for DOA6 on PS4/PS5. Hard to justify the cost.

    that blows, at least on steam for DOA6 you can just drop 1.99 for a single costume (2.99 for "premium") and be done with it, but yeah there's a couple costumes I want for videos and every single one of them is locked behind a variety pack that cost anywhere from 20$-45$ each, honestly I'll just wait for a sale so it wont feel like such a rip off

    Its refreshing seeing DBZ gameplay that takes place on the ground and characters aren't doing 7 digits worth of damage with each touch, also its just cool seeing og DragonBall getting some attention in a modern game

    Damn! DBZ Kakarot still getting support which is incredible. Ever since I platinum'd I haven't touched it since, but with the DLCs it has, I may go back to it at some point (not sure when, too much game backlog).

    Apparently the data miners also found some files from the movies. Turles, Cooler, Android 13, and Bojack.

    but yeah I also haven't touched this game since the Trunks dlc and the virtual TGC update, but this one just might bring me back, apparently DBZ games can be sustained forever at this point lol

    Oshi No Ko, an unexpectedly great anime revolving around the darker aspects of being a Japanese celebrity, solid concept

    so why the hell it feels the need to tack on a story about a 30 year man who's in love with 2 underage girls is beyond me :/ I know these weebs need a protag they can relate to but come on...

    I've never seen the anime myself but the opening theme slaps hard. This song was literally playing in EVERY shop I went to in Japan. Its pretty addicting lol. Downloaded to my phone when I got home.
