  • dude, we're only 4 days into October and I'm already seeing mf's in costume roaming the streets at night; I understand getting a jump on the Halloween season but this is ridiculous
    welp, no rollback update for Samsho 2019 for the time being (it was supposed to drop last month), SNK says the delay is for quality reasons, and I guess that's fair, no one cares to play a game with crappy rollback

    I get that implementing rollback for the first time is hard (especially retrofitting), but it really shouldn't be taking this long unless they're fumbling the execution.

    Seems that ArcSys is the only company who can successfully rollbackify their older fighting games (well, with the exception of DBZF but that might be because of issues arising between them and Bamco or that they might just end up giving DBZF the Rising treatment) out of all of these companies. Anyhow, the chances of us getting a new Samsho soon is slim due to 15 getting dlc and Garou being in the works.

    So for now we can just hope that implementing rollback into Samsho will go as smoothly as possible from now on for SNK.
    woot woot, finally got my hands on MK1, time to see if it lives up to the hype, especially since I've yet to hear major complaints about the game (beside the P1 advantage bug and having to unlock half the roster)

    so it's only 4 kharters that aren't unlocked from the start? ppl made it sound like it was alot more, I also heard some kameos also require cleariing single player kontent to unlock so that also sound annoying but w/e, do it once and i'll never think about it again

    Yeah, Kameos like OG Scorpion and Sub-Zero are unlockables in Invasion Mode. But it's only 21 characters and about 10 Kameos as the default.

    Most of the Kast is playable from start. It's the Kameo's that need to be unlocked (which is fairly easy). The only gripes I have is online (not the netcode itself, netcode is good). Online modes/support is not up to par in comparison to SFVI or Tekken. No online training, no connection type filter, no open lobbies(well there's KOTH...), no multi match lobbies. Offline modes are fun as hell.
    Lucky star is back in serialization, FLCL is getting another sequel, Haruhi Suzumiya is getting new light novels and possible anime adaptation, dunno why all the hot anime from early 2000's are making a comeback, but screw it im down for it

    And while we're at it, how about a Black Lagoon season 4? Come on anime industry, make it happen
    is it just me or does it feel like you need 13 face buttons and 12 fingers to play SF6 optimally with classic controls? now it makes sense why all the old players are switching to hitbox, ain't no way you can play this shit on a standard arcade stick!
    the fact that (so far) all the SF6 collabs are just costumes/avatars for it's World Tour mode is weaksauce, like how the hell are you gonna have SF6 x Baki and not have Yuujirou Hanma as a playable character in your fighting game? talk about missed opportunity

    Even the Nioh X Lies of P is weaksauce. Two weapons?? not even a boss? a cameo apperance? no secret bosses?

    While i'm glad crossovers will become a thing forever when it's chosen, i'm going to start going against it if they provide chump change inclusions lol.

    I mean I get it, not every crossover is gonna be a major addition to gameplay (hell DOA5 had a jabillion crossovers, and yet only like 4-5 of them resulted in characters and stages) , but I will be annoyed if it continues like this, and for SF6 that could very well be the case given how Capcom has treated crossovers in SF before (with the sole exception being SF X Tekken)

    Well, would you have wanted them to add in Guilty Gear or Blazblue stages too? Although, I'd admit people would go nuts if they saw DOA characters in BBTag, even if that game was gonna flop initially.
    T8 is shaping up nicely, still not a fan of the chip damage and recoverable health, but being able to see more of the heat mechanics makes the game stand out and look more like a proper Tekken sequel as opposed to a T7 update
    dam, MK1 might be the game that makes me shell out for a current gen system :/

    With how SF6 operates on my pretty strong gaming laptop, I'm considering the idea myself. The added advantages with that are that once you have the system you can just get the game and it'll operate smoothly most likely, plus until crossplay is implemented in any new fighting game you'll most likely be finding more opponents on console than on PC.

    my gaming laptop can actually run SF6 smoothly, but I do have to tank the graphics to do so, MK1 has similar PC requirements so while I can run MK1 on it, part of me would rather just grab a machine that can run it decently at a reasonable price, since upgrading to a computer that can play all this current gen stuff would cost almost 4 times the price of a modern console
    Nintendo direct was fire, new Mario vs Donkey Kong, 1000 year door remaster/remake, even that Princess Peach game looked interesting, not a bad time to be a Switch owner

    this is largely cuz by the time you've used up all your drive guage whoofing on DI and are in a burnout state, you're in such a favorable spot in the match (in terms of positioning and damage) that being in a burnout state largely doesn't matter to the aggressor at that point, talk about an oversight lol

    nerf it or somehow make burnout even more crippling, or how about not regaining ALL of your drive guage once you exit burnout, like maybe only recover half, just to throw a few ideas out there

    Her being modeled and voiced by Megan Fox, kinda ehhhh on that one chief, I mean if it was 2007 I'd be all over that but now it just feels kinda random, but screw it, muh batgirl is back baby!
    The SAG AFTRA writers strike is slowly but surely making it's way into the video game industry, which im curious to see how much a writers strike can impact game development, since most games aren't written by writers and are written by someone in house.

    I can definitely see it affecting voice acting in video games, and worst comes to worst we might return to a time when voice acting isn't done by professional voice actors, but instead is done by whatever developers you have lying around an office who think they can act, basically the early 2000's lol
    Visited my nephew this weekend and to my surprise he's an avid DOA fan who still grinds doa6, so i did what every responsible uncle would do, smurfed it up and challenged him to a ft5 ;)

    She gives me serious Clarice from Arcana Heart vibes, also some Christie/Lion vibes with the whole snake hands thing, and seeing that she straight up has FANG normals in her kit make me believe she'll be a charge character, so yay for charge enthusiasts
