Definitely, their proportions are giving early Illusion Soft games with the anime proportions. They need to add some more meat to the arms and maybe slightly reduce the necks since in DOA6 they were perfect, not too long but notably more refined than LR.TBF the arms are practically anorexic nervosa, and the neck does indeed need some tweaking. Honoka is a fighter; so there should be a little less daintiness.
I'm going to summarize by saying that they are on the right track, but they definitely need to tweak it a bit.

Hopefully they do like a poll or survey where we can give some criticism since I'd tell them about the strange proportions, lack of emotion at the current time, and maybe the lack of cohesion with the models in their promo art, in game, and during certain specific scenes since they all could pass as separate character versions since Tamaki I noticed is beautiful, but she looks fairly different in the three instances I've seen her in her trailer and promo art. DOA5-6 don't have that issue and neither does Venus Vacation
That part. I also hope the body models will be more unique since I like how all the girls in VV for the most part have different proportions.I'm also hoping that they get their tummies completely on track regardless of definition. With DOA5 everything seemed perfect to me with proportions. DOA6 nailed a lot of angles smoothly, but there was some neck twisting, the bellybuttons weren't fixed proper until DOAXVV, and the arm issue was still kind of present, but with a different problem. If a character; especially a female that had their arms in a bicep flex position, there was an underlying skin problem that connected the arm to the shoulder.
This arm issue is a dilemma that KT has been struggling with for a few years in multiple games, and it actually looks like they are fixing it with Prism, but now we have to make sure as you said that there is some meat on their arms for even proportion.
No character DLC huh? Well, this is even worse than DOAX3. It's already bad enough that they cut girls for that game, and now they cut even MORE out?Hmm.. look like they're previewing how the "gameplay" will be with the usual kind of choice selection you expect from a visual novel. But that screen can't possibly be how it'll look in end, right? lol (but March 6 is only 4 months away...). So this is really just going to be a fully 3D animated visual novel? Maybe now at least you can walk around the island as Mr. Owner... ? Maybe at least get/use/give objects (like bringing the umbrella to Elise)? And is hand-holding the ultimate goal? XD
I've been reading some places that this means Marie will be the first DLC, was that part of the leak? I'm surprised if they don't make her "day 1 DLC". I guess they figured she'd make bigger bucks for them as DLC than as one of the first 6. (EDIT, nevermind... https://nmiagaming.com/venus-vacation-prism-has-no-plans-for-character-dlc/ wow, no DLC, that's a shock coming from KT, but I actually had a feeling that'd be a possibility the way the game was turning out)
Misaki really looks off compared to the others tho still, gotta say. And seeing the 6 of them now, they could have put in Lobelia at least for some body variety, lol...
Seriously though, so many people are going to be asking "This is a DOA game?"
“Therefore, we currently do not plan to add characters through updates or DLC”.
“If there is a strong demand from fans for these characters and internal agreement within the company, there may be a chance to see their return in future instalments”
“Unlike the more direct sexual encounters in Xtreme Venus Vacation, which had a bolder approach, this game will focus more on subtlety and provide a feeling closer to true romance simulation”

I think by installments they could roughly be referring to DLC updates and such since i think they're going to support the game long term, but who knows, they may make additions over time. The post says

Future installments? Like as in dlc or potential projects like VVP2 or DOAX4?
Also technically DOAX3 vanilla did get dlc characters but they dropped the game so quickly unfortunately.
I hope Prism does well honestly.
As long as it brings a true DOAX game or DOA fighting game.
Even if it were true that they want to avoid ANY backlash caused by Marie Rose (which doesn't make any sense since it's not even going to be released in the West anyways), did that REALLY require cutting a significant amount of the female cast? Most of the girls don't even LOOK like kids anyways (in fact, besides Marie Rose, pretty much the only girl who does look like a child is Kanna. Lobelia, while flat, is clearly tall enough to be considered a young woman at a glance, as is Nagisa and Shizuku).Well he did also say...
but I think this one is gonna ruffle some feathers too:
I KNEW IT, lmao. That and the lack of Marie Rose, that's why this is releasing on Sony platforms at all. That and I still wanna bet that they'll add PSVR some time.
It really does seem more and more like a spinoff of a spinoff like I said once before... it's a visual novel based on a ftp gacha vacation game based on a volleyball game series based on a fighting game series.
I think Leifang and Hitomi have a solid connection to each other, so we need to take that into account. Maybe also Momiji and Rachel since they have worked with Ryu in the past and even had a tag team that indicated they knew each other. Oh, and Helena and Kokoro as well. Probably Christie and NiCO since they have a working relationship per DOA6. Nyotengu and Kanna have a rivalry with each other, so there's that. Oh yeah, and I suggest having Mila be with Lisa and Tina, since the three know each other. The game looks promising so far, really like these looks:

I hope that Leifang dress is confirmation that we'll see classic costumes in like their VV standard SSRs and even some of Honoka and Tamaki's attire from DOA6.

Since they're not going to apparently add girls to this Prism game of 6 girls, I think they'll just release maybe different "chapters" or groups of girls in a different group layout so that way their interactions are cohesive. Since the first group has Misaki and Nanami who are friends, and then the other girls, think they'll have groups with different relationships.
I hope for another group if they do another installment around 6 new girls, they'd have ones like:
-Kasumi and Ayane as the sisters of the cast, Nagisa as the tsundere, Shandy as the bored type, Sayuri as the older sister type and then maybe Marie Rose as the token loli type so she stands out most
-For another I'd like Luna and Amy since they have lore with each other, Shizuku as the token fox girl, , and maybe Lisa and Tina since they're friends and they'd stand out since they're OG DOA girls, and then Tsukushi as the introvert.
But I can't really make a solid list of groups since the first one we have already is kinda confusing, besides Nanami and Misaki knowing each other, I see no real chemistry or even knowledge of how the other characters would engage with each other since the episodes in VV don't really scream solid connection to me
Edit. Famitsu interview, it's pretty long.
Unfortunately there won't be volleyball.
It literally sounds like they're doing episodes or something.

Damn that was long but it answered so much, lol. Amazing that this is where the passion behind DOA at KT lies now... they could make any new DOA game from scratch, but what Sakuda wanted to make more than anything was a game for non-gacha fans to experience some of the new OC girls of Venus Vacation... (can't believe this guy started on DOA3 of all games, lol). Everyone who hoped that the success of VV games would help fund a new real DOA have been totally wrong, Prism is what the success of VV has lead to. I have to be honest that I don't think this game will do very well... a big part of VV's success is that it follows the typical gacha formula of gambling for sexy things. But hey, I could be wrong, it should be interesting to see how many of the supposed millions of VV fans will cross over from the gacha side.
@otnesse I'm not saying that's why the majority of the girls were "cut" for Prism. Tbh, I think the reason why they went with 6 is made totally clear now from that Famitsu interview that Prism is really more like yet another spinoff, it's a fully 3D visual novel based Venus Vacation made from scratch, so they had to be selective because there's a lot more work going into implementing each girl than in VV (making their model, more voice work, more animation, etc).
As for Sony, I said what I said with consideration of what happened with DOAX3 Scarlet, which was also not released in the west. Sony's new policies are inconsistent and don't make sense, but are often connected with toning down things in general, even for non-western releases. I'm not saying Prism will be toned down because of Sony, but designing the game as being more focused on "romance" over sexuality and avoiding more younger looking characters probably made it easier to get approved for release by Sony.
Well I guess the days of rockstars and ninjas are truly gone then, corporations have taken over and profit is god now. It's been years since KT got any money from me, at least, and it looks like they won't be for a long time to come.
