Jeez, I can't believe Honoka is gonna be the only "DOA" girl, lmao (if there really is a legit leak that last is Nanami). Really surprised it wasn't Marie instead. My guess would actually be that Sony might not be happy with that, or at least that TN thinks that Sony wouldn't be happy with that.
Yeah, I think when MR debuted she was an anomaly in the DOA universe, she appealed mostly to an audience that DOA didn't appeal to with its existing characters, that's partially why she had top percentage in popularity along with Honoka since the rest of DOA's fanbase spread their votes across the rest of the cast. Since VV there's been a lot more other girls like her, lol. It'd be interesting to see a new character popularity poll.
I feel like if Prism gets DLC it'll be really slow going, probably at the same pace as VV gets new girls.

Tbh I'm not so sure, VV is different than Prism since VV is a free gacha so they have to spread out releases and fests at a slower rate to keep the momentum steady.
In Prism they're going the actual game route so I think they'll steadily drop girls at a somewhat faster pace since I'm sure they have other girls ready for drop periods, and I imagine they plan on also adding fresh new girls into Prism overtime besides the current OG DOA and OG venus girls. I feel their set up for dlc is going to be identical to DOA5U/LR and DOA6
The only reason I think it might still take long is because of the way Prism's premise is. We need to see more about how big this game's scope is, but if there's gonna be a lot more interactions, animations, and dialogues for each girl it might take a lot more work for each one than VV did (the fact that the game is gonna launch with so few characters backs up that thought). Maybe they don't even plan to add every or most girls eventually. If the base game is gonna have just 6 (and they said 8 at most? maybe already 2 as DLC is decided?) and they plan to add even just every VV girl eventually, that's the majority of the game's cast as DLC, lol. I guess it could happen but afaik that's unprecedented for an offline game.

Actually, while it's shocking for sure, I don't know whither to be sad about it or relieved, lol. This is the most separated from the main series that the spinoff series has ever been... maybe it's for the best. But still, they might as well have left DOA out of the title completely.

Since this is a Venus Vacation game with DOAX added as a subtitle to make people mad, I wish they had picked Sayuri or Shandy over Honoka.
The leak was shared in the Venus Vacation discord (from some Chinese message board) weeks ago.
Tbh I think it's a decent idea to make the venus vacation girls the main focus(bar Honoka) since this gives them a game they can shine in, plus I read somewhere that they said it's harder to incorporate the OG girls in the game story due to their already pre existing lore, and since Honoka is still fairly new with little real background besides being Ayane's half sister and her hidden powers, I think they decided she could be implemented earlier too
I think having the DOA girls as DLC adds a sort of premium charm to their inclusion since they're the OG stars of DOA, and if Honoka is any indication, we'll probably be pleasantly surprised at how they'll look and what their new outfits will look like.

Yeah and that leak had to have come from somewhere and my guess is that it was a media party that showed the full portrait of characters.
This game has probably been in production long enough to include as far as Nanami and Elise because a lot of these revealed Venus came out early in the cycle of the DOAXVV game.
Misaki is not my favorite but she does have a relationship with all of the girls. Honoka has many connections on the island as well. They would have been complete fools to not add her from a marketing value point.
I’m quite surprised they didn’t add Marie Rose but if they do a character DLC program she will no doubt be the first one. If she’s not I’m just going to assume they were uncomfortable with her youthful appearance (even if she is “legal”) in what is essentially going to be a dating game.
And there is a chance that this could go from a purchased game like DOAX3 sort of transformed into DOAXVV. Yes they are not the same game (before some smart ass comes in and corrects me) but they are clearly from the same vein with the free to play model being much more profitable.

Now that we know most of the girls (still hoping for DLC Sayuri or Shandy ...) it makes me wonder what kind of activities are we going to do to befriend them or something like an adventure "Infinity Nikki" style were you get to control the girls and walk around the island.
Still if it has volleyball in it I will be super game for this and if they make the volleyball a 2 player online thing that we get to control ourselves to compete with each other then it would be cool too.

But Honoka looks the worst of all the ones shown so far... she barely resembles Honoka. she's way too skinny for starters lol
Honestly if I had to rank the girls shown so far? in terms of accuracy and just visuals in general.
1. Tamaki

3. Misaki
4. Fiona
5. Honoka
She doesn't look skinny to me, it's just the arms that make the girls look lanky and the longer necks and different proportion body with more emphasis on her chest
I think all the girls look good but I feel they made Elise and Fiona have more distinct face models this time now. Tamaki looks good too but I hope they tweak her a bit since certain shots make her look different at times which is weird like that one shot where her arms looked particularly lanky and her neck seemed more pronounced.
TBF the arms are practically anorexic nervosa, and the neck does indeed need some tweaking. Honoka is a fighter; so there should be a little less daintiness.
