I'm sure we all know this for a fact, but Homura > Asuka
ok i saw the kagura senran dlc of doa5lr but who is that girl in the black outfit i only recognize kasumi :S
Thats because its a fashion style that existed way before being represented in anime/mangaVery true, my bad. In Japanese anime and manga fictions I'm used to see characters similar to Marie Rose as the usual standard appearence for this role, but actually seems that outside from these realms there is a much more varied representation.
So I watched the anime series (yes...all 12 of the real episodes) because they're only 20 minutes long each and I want to be able to recognize the designs chosen for each character.
It was a mediocre series at best that reminds me a lot of Sailor Moon (with obviously more boobs and pantsu shots). It did however exceed my expectations b/c the "special" episodes (i.e. pure fan service) are what I thought the normal episodes consist of. And while it is pretty heavy in the fan service department it did attempt to have a plot however superficial it may have been. But whoever said it was "dark" clearly hasn't watched enough anime (there was one point where the "shinobis" were scared b/c if the opposing school lost they would die...because ninjas dying in battle is a foreign concept to busty teenage girls...). The rest of the time they're being bff's having pillow fights, groping each other and getting over their fear of frogs. Not my idea of dark at all...
I will say though that I found the girls from the "evil" academy somewhat interesting at first (until of course the end when they realize that friendship and love brings them all together and bla bla bla...) and I do hope one of the DOA girls gets the one from that green haired chick (including the green hair).
Like was said, the anime is a pretty bad representation of the series as a whole. It's pretty heavily based on Hanzo's storyline in Burst, but there are quite a few differences. To give a bit of a comparison between the anime and Hanzo's story:So I watched the anime series (yes...all 12 of the real episodes) because they're only 20 minutes long each and I want to be able to recognize the designs chosen for each character.

I'm not sure if that was in Burst and, by extension, the anime. I could be wrong since I haven't played the original myself, but I do know that Shinovi Versus delves into Katsuragi's backstory quite a bit. Also if I remember correctly, there's a part of the game that tells a really sad story about Katsuragi's childhood and I believe the anime doesn't have that.
Alright. So.
Walked into GameStop, saw a NEW copy of Shinovi Versus on the shelf, asked why a vita game was 50 bucks. Turns out it was a complete box set collectors edition brand new. The actual CE box wsd behind the counter. Bought it immediately.
Now let's see what all the fuss is about, or if I should a bought another game for like 15 bucks instead.
"Devil May Cry meets Pokémon with boobs" and a new douinshi was born XDI finally caved in and bought the digital download yesterday. Have a vita at school and the 3DS burst game looks like crap so I decided to skip out on that one (no offense to those who like it). I saw the anime and even if there are differences so far it's been pretty easy to follow along w/o playing the first game.
Gameplay doesn't hold a candle to Bayonetta and the camera angles can be a nightmare but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it. It's hard to describe but it feels like I'm playing Devil May Cry meets Pokémon with boobs?
I will admit though it's surprisingly more difficult than I thought. I'm struggling to pass missions even on normal.
Oh my gosh! DMC with destructible clothing... Dante! Hubba hubba. If only Dante and Vergil were guest characters in Senran Kagura. Then I would play it."Devil May Cry meets Pokémon with boobs" and a new douinshi was born XD
We'll be fixed soon, but my guess is that it's even more specific. Only for SK costumes.Oh my gosh! DMC with destructible clothing... Dante! Hubba hubba. If only Dante and Vergil were guest characters in Senran Kagura. Then I would play it.
Just so we're clear -- the destructible clothing feature DOA is planning on implementing also affects the male characters, right? Or is this just another lame female-only feature like the breast motion.
Ohhhhhhh! Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. I hope they get it fixed soon! We'll be fixed soon, but my guess is that it's even more specific. Only for SK costumes.

One of my main complaints is it has that MVC/bb/ gg problem with recovery, which is that you can't just get up, instead it makes you jump up to recover, leaving you vulnerable to continuous combos, so its damn near impossible to get out of a combo.I finally caved in and bought the digital download yesterday. I agree with the DMC comparison, but where how exactly does Pokemon fit into the equation? Surely there's not some kind of monster-catching feature that I'm not aware of? lol
I haven't played SK personally, but the main problem that I have with it, solely from just watching some videos, is that it seems like a very repetitive mash fest. It also looks crazy easy because in every video I've seen of it, the enemies seem to just stand there and let the player beat the shit out of them.
