Ironically considering I'm "the guy who hates everything" I'm actually more excited for than you would think, I blasted through my work just now because of how pumped I was if we really are getting a magic user.

I'm a bit dissapointed with her face like everyone else, but if she's a serious magic fighter I don't care I can put aside my hatred of MR for that much.

I think she looks fine, I'm not gonna complain (especially this early in her reveal). Personally i'd prefer another mature woman but that's how it goes.

Mila still best new girl :D

Hmm... not so sure knowing all your past early statements on Marie, Phase and Nyo, however I want give to you the benefit of the doubt XD

By the way I don't want be misunderstood: even if I see her different from Marie Rose (and anyway I don't consider the appearence a problem), I'm not blind and I see huge similarities, overall in the hairstyle that appear specular. I think that it would have been better to make a character with an appearence more different from the "wicked servant" me too.

Nop, sorry, i hardly see how this could be a photoshop. :/
Also, i'm sure she will look better while animated. Like i already said, i can see some differences in her face design especially the mandibular bone and the eyes rotation (a lot less childish). I'm sure her facial expressions will be very different and will put the light on those small things so that she doesn't look too much like the 18 years old baby.

Also, see the good point in having a hate-able character design !

I disagree..
This is just a shitty lazy design...
Ein - Hayate is justified because its what people asked for in vanilla..
Phase -4 was a stretch ... but kasumi has a million clones so that worked out too... and I still confuse their moves when they pop up after each other in random ...

but this ... this is just dumb ...
they could have easily done a different face... even a slightly more mature one .. but this is rediculous ..

Well this actually happened at the moment with my friend looking at my computer, as she was passing by. She doesn't play video games and she doesn't really know DOA but last time I introduced her to the game and the Syxasis function, and she remembers the "Cow Girl Bitch", the "Mermaid Bitch", the "Purple Ninja Bitch", the "Geisha Bitch", the "Pedobitch" a.k.a Marie-Rose, and she just said "Oh cool they gave Rosemary a new costume, she's cute".

Me.

I guess that's another character for her to play with the Sixasis function anyway. :(

It's during these trying times when I wish they would lock the thread until we get more information. Then everyone will have time to cool off until AFTER we see her revealed and fighting. lol

Soon the trailer and website will unveil her personality, her gameplay/indivuality and her story/bio. That's how we can really judge a character.

The same happened - to some extend - with the reveal of Kokoro. People though she was too much like Lei Fang, and now she's one of the most popular character (not only in Japan). Well, popularity doesn't equal quality, but people often change their minds when they have the pad in their hands, what matters is how the character make you feel during a fight. That's what happened for me with Helena when I was younger. I loved her in the CD cover, I lo-oved her in cutscenes, I lo-o-oved with the moves.

I'm sure her fighting style will be ten times more creative than her design and she will feel unique.

I didn't expect originality but I thought at least she'd have a unique face to match the generic design. But I'm unaffected, I expected nothing from the start.

The design is generic crap, we can all agree on that, but again reserve your final judgements until you see her personality, as well as her in action. Just because she looks like a cutsy character doesn't mean she'll act like one, and if she has powers that's points toward originality gameplay wise at least.

Just keep the pinching seacrabs out of your underwear for the next two days and chill out.
