I spit my drink reading some of the Ein ignorance on last page, but I won't elaborate further.

Has the people who wanted Irene speculated on how she would fight? Grappler? Striker? Defensive?

So a more agile Rachel that has less damage/knockback but faster/safer strings and mobility?

Basically yeah. She's a CIA agent so I don't imagine her playstyle being too flashy or unique.

no, someone put up a side-by-side to note how smilar they look in appearance! So, what you've conjured up isn't too far off.

Hahaha... good point. They look exactly the same.

I think a new character could pick up a no input parry like Jacky`s punch parry, except for kicks

No matter who they are, I think we should be grateful that we're even able to have this discussion at all since the majority had believed there were no more characters after Nyo.

Maybe Irene could be Vanessa-ish minus the ground tackles because Mila and Leon already do that. She could even do the neutral punch negation just for trolling purposes. Or even make it a kick negation like was mentioned before. Vale Tudo, Jujutsu (Judo), or Krav Maga could work for CIA.

I certainly don't envision Irene doing pirouettes like Rachel does at least. Do they really look that much alike? Even Irene's NG3 outfit looks pretty different from Rachel's, despite being leather. Maybe it's only me, though.

Regardless, they should probably go with some variation on her DOAD outfit if she were included. There's no way they'd be mistaken for each other that way.

Still reminiscent of the Boss of DOA5 because "he's still borrowing moves from other characters," except the Boss becomes that character.

I never said that he wasn't reminiscent of the DoA5 Boss, of course he is if Raidous' style is the same (to borrow the moves from other characters). But it's wrong to expect that he will be necessarily a mix of shinobi as DoA5 Boss, actually could appear much more various and mixed. In addition Raidou has also his unique moves, in particular under the throw side as mentioned by David.

Because he is not the doa2 one. Everything he have in doa5u come from doa4.

Right, actually the character is much more close to his DoA4 counterpart.

It's funny how he never stole a move from Leifang, Bass and Ayane despite them being there from the first tournament.

Rawbie that faq come from the Sega Saturn version of the game where Bass and Ayane weren't included in the game (they were added only from the PSX version).

Guys, "resurrected" was never a term used in the Famitsu interview. That was just Leifang2000's interpretation of what they meant by saying that "fans would be happy with it". Not even "resurrected" in the sense that the character is currently dead. But, more so "brought back" as in the character was in a past game. Kind of the same thing, but once again, "resurrected" is just speculation.

Indeed, I believed that the use of the term put in misunderstanding the fans. In addition, seems to me to remember that the first to use the term was the interviewer and not Hayashi (but I could be wrong on this). In general the Japanese language is much more oriented toward the interpretation compared to other ones as English.

Has the people who wanted Irene speculated on how she would fight? Grappler? Striker? Defensive?

According to the real life, apparently the most likely ones should be Judo or Krav Maga with eventually a mix of moves from Karate.

Or maybe it could be a new character like they said? lol

I believe that they were talking of Irene as for speculation, from the words of Hayashi she should be a brand new character less an unexpected ambiguity in his definition of not returning character. Because in the end make little sense to say that she is a female girl not old one, the only one of this kind could be only Kasumi Alpha, but to have given her outfits to Phase-4 should make think that TN consider her replaced by the "new version".

Is it bad that I literally picture her doing exactly what Rachel does but less powerful? o_o
I imagine she would have a military style similar to Bayman. Lots of technical takedowns, combo throws and advanced holds. Kind of Jiu Jitsu crossed with Krav Maga.

Or maybe it could be a new character like they said? lol
'New' could mean 'new to doa'.

Well, my answer is, "It doesn't matter who makes it in, fans will still be disappointed."

I'd disagree except for Ein who was thrown in here missing some adjustments, every character that has been well received to a degree. these two will likely be the same if not by everyone then then just the majority

Could you people stop wanking at this Irene gyal, please? You're wasting online kilebytes and you'll end up looking dumb when the actual character is revealed.
Wasting online kilobytes means nothing when ALL OF HUMANITY'S EXISTENCE IS A WASTE.

But, I suppose now isn't the time for that...
