while Leon and Nyotengu effectively got a nice improvement and refreshment, sadly Ein can't say the same thing... :(

Ein was left the way he was intentionally to appeal to DOA2 players.
Besides .. we already have an improved Ein ... his name is Hayate ..

I already know that the male character will be resurrected, so high chance it's Raidou (vote number one). Vote number two will be either Irene or someone new entirely.

Judging from the comments of his fans that are for the majority DoA2 players, this didn't work, at least not on FSD.... But in any cases this isn't an answer because according to this reasoning, for appealing the fans of the characters should be necessary never to change them. In addition no one is asking to change radically the gameplay of Ein, he is a basic character and have to remain such, what fans are asking is only to make him more viable: to leave a character basically unalterated when all the rest changed (and consequently even the tools that are requested to the characters) is not a solution.

I see Ein and Hitomi for the most in parallel with Leon and Bayman: the first ones are the simplest versions and more based on the raw streght, compared to the second ones that are more technical (I'm talking generally, don't take literally my words). But all of them need to follow a natural evolution in agreement with everyone and everything, and this thing is missing with Ein.

Ein sucks. He doesn't feel like the doa2 character, because the system has changed a lot since then. Trying to keep him the same as in doa2 doesn't work and is honestly just a lame excuse for laziness.

Because he is not the doa2 one. Everything he have in doa5u come from doa4.
Besides .. we already have an improved Ein ... his name is Hayate ..
In any case, the improved Ein would be Hitomi, not Hayate.
And besides, Ein is way more interesting and cooler than Hayate.

People this is an extract of a faq about DoA1 Sega Saturn version: the section is the one dedicated to Raidou, where the author included in the moveset list even the original owners of each Raidou's move (I eliminated the imputs and the strike levels for making more clear the text).

As you can see, while for obvious reasons Kasumi and overall Hayabusa are the main source for Raidou, actually he is far from appearing as a replica of the ninjas like the boss of DoA5, actually getting instead moves from all the roster of the game (more than half come from not ninja) with the only exception of Leifang. And of course his moveset was increased in DoA1 for PSX, not sure if also in DoA++, and DoA Dimensions).

By the way this doesn't mean that Raidou couldn't get completely unique moves owned only by himself.
Still reminiscent of the Boss of DOA5 because "he's still borrowing moves from other characters," except the Boss becomes that character. It just seems like Donovan's next phase could be a resurrected Raidou who's powerful enough to steal other characters moves. Makes me wonder if we'll have a boss for arcade mode or if they are going to extend the Story mode. That would make it more worth it in my opinion.

I honestly think new characters should be saved for DOA6, especially since the current VF guest fighters probably won't be included in the sequel. I honestly prefer more original characters, like Marie Rose. Team Ninja have shown that they're willing to bring back fighting styles in the guise of a "new" character a la Nyotengu, which is probably the best Raidou and Genra fans are going to get.
NNOOOO. we can't give up that easily. I'm sending the pole numbers to TN once the numbers will suffice for the 2 fallen gods.

I don't want to get off-topic, but Ein sucks because Team NINA doesn't give a damn about him. The DLC chart is a good tool to build that theory because Ein has received like 2-3 shit outfits when great ones are missing. Ein is a slow disciplined character, Hayate is an evil rush-down, footsie ass-hole that I have no idea why people call low-tier and have a movement to make him stronger.

Ein is in critical need of buffs because on a competitive level, he's almost impossible to use. Slow, predictable, and still fundamentally broken. The lack of proper treatment to this character is absurd as he was on of the reasons people picked Ultimate up in the first place.

Anyways; Genra is a unique choice for a new character and I support him coming to Last Round. He's slower than slow, and could be more powerful though for his armor/tank status.

Kind of the same thing, but once again, "resurrected" is just speculation.

Well, I think that the Google translated version also had something to do with it. When it talked about the female character, he specified that she wasn't being "resurrected", but is new. This was never specified for the male character. Only that all of the fans would be happy with him. So, perhaps the implication is that the male is returning (being resurrected) and the female is new.

But, there's technically some leeway there. And the context of where "resurrected" was used in the first place clearly doesn't have the implication of the "death" kind.

but if all hes saying is "fans will like him" that doesn't necessarily imply hes saying from a nostalgia standpoint. as i said earlier it could have just been a hype phrase and could have meant its simply a good character that he thinks will be well received.

It's funny how he never stole a move from Leifang, Bass and Ayane despite them being there from the first tournament.

Hahaha for some reason I pictured Raidou having Lei's Unshu and Marie's Minuet, Helena's Bokuho.... ahahaha it's a funny thought. And randomly Phase-4's damage and teleports.

But the animation for Raidou's minuet has to be exactly the same as Marie's. Fight-O!
