Awesome stuff. Only thing crazier would be if they added a playable Yakuza character.

Each time Majima appears in the series, an arrangement of his "Receive You The Prototype" track from Y2 plays during battle; for this DLC, the arrangement is from Y5. Of all the "Majima" tracks, this particular one seemed to best compliment a female character.

This is the track from Like A Dragon that plays while playing the homeless can collection minigame. Nanba is recognized as the homeless character and the bluesy feel to the track seemed like the right fit for Shun's Drunken Kung Fu style.

This is the battle theme from Yakuza: Dead Souls that plays in Majima's story when fighting Tsuchigumo. This track was selected since the theme plays in a fight against Tsuchigumo, a nondescript, non-human enemy, as well as having similarities with Dural's usual theme.

Heads up.
In the latest update for VF5US, there's an Akira bug in which it occurs during Ranked Matches. What happens is when you start the next game, you'll automatically start fighting as a 10th Kyu Akira. Finishing the match will cause more issues.
If you see this happen, press the PS button and exit the game. SEGA will not give out penalties for disconnecting. There will be a patch coming soon to fix those issues.

Seiji Aoki, current producer of Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown/VF eSports, did an interview with Dengeki Online about the future of VF5US, and there was a lot to cover.

- VF5US was supposed to be a one-and-done release, but they wanted come up with more stuff for the game. There were a lot of requests made by the players and they listened.
- In regards to PS+/Now, VF has been away for over 10+ years, so they wanted to be accessible to everyone as possible. This was a similar approach to what SEGA did with Puyo Puyo eSports (Puyo Puyo Champions in the West). Sony offered them the free launch for PS+, which SEGA took because it was meant as a marketing tool to revive the series. The sales wasn't their goal.
- Despite nearly hitting their forecast numbers, SEGA was pleased with the results. That now became their goal to react to the player's demands.
- In regards to the Yakuza DLC: Brad or Goh were considered to have Majima's outfit, but it was given to Lion instead. Sarah's Goromi costume was a fun addition.
- VF5US is a JeSU-licensed game in Japan, just like Puyo Puyo Champions. SEGA will be involved in hosting several tournaments and events. This came from a request from Hideki Okamura, who is the Chairman of both SEGA Japan and Japanese eSports Union, since they needed a second eSports game after Puyo Puyo. VF was that game.
- When the project began in March 2020, they were going to rebalance the game but COVID screwed the team over. So they had no choice but to go into full remake. They wished could have changed a few things, but it left the team wondering about the pros and cons.
- In regards to 2022: Aoki says that there's a roadmap for VF5US going into 2022. This relates to both development and events.
