Great, so now we have to buy next-gen consoles just to keep up-to-date with this game.

Of course, that's on top of just having to buy the same damn game for a third time.

And I guess we're just supposed to hope that the ass-load of DLC they've collected from us in the past carries over.

have you guys ever share costume among each other? , just asking
Yes costume sharing is possible.... just make sure ur PS3 is only synched to 2 systems. I own 2 PS3's and share DLCs with my younger brother. Sony is ok with this. Only thing that can't be shared is avatars.

All you have to do is login on his PS3, and Sync your games. This won't work if your PS3 has already been synched to another console since the limit is 2.

Lol, you're really asking the wrong person to teach you sarah
and by that i mean brute, I can only teach helena/christie/rachel/alpha

I wanna learn Rachel from you!!!

Well, at this point appear a reasonable doubt to think that maybe the tweet of Team Ninja about at least a fourth DLC character it always been correct, but in the end they decided to change their plans and to entrust it/them directly to the additions of the new roster for the porting of the next generation. @David Gregg

I hope there's cross gen online
Sadly I doubt it. The infrastructure would need to suck and not get improved. It may cause connection issues and a plethora of Desyncs. Hopefully I'm wrong and they manage to pull off getting better net code along with cross gen support.

Personally I prefer something like this when the console is completely figured out for optimization.

yeah, i think too. next generation could mean new collision physics, maybe they gonna add new dynamics on stage
like spectators or car. this could not be done on the current gen console

Is this really official? Tecmo using the old logo seems unlikely though.

It's official and the topic on " DOA5 Final Fight" is being discussed here. Try to keep the general discussion surrounding it over there (unless it deals with the "casual" implications of it). This thread is not a chatbox or a "general news" thread. When important stuff like this comes up, try not to go and discuss it in here first. That's not what the purpose of this thread is. Go to the appropriate areas to address and discuss these types of topics. That way those who don't visit the Casual Thread can still read up and stay informed.

Wow...that new announcement could either mean DOA5U is practically dead after Nyotengu's release... :(
...or that we can look forward to lots of new DLC being shared between the PS4/Xbone- and PS3/360-versions.

I posted my first reaction to this news in the other thread! ;)

No real info yet on if it'll hit the last gen consoles. All we have is a teaser so far. Gotta wait.

This is one of those rare moments where I'd do what Capcom does: make it a cheap-ish paid patch for 5U owners.

That said, there's little to worry about. We won't be seeing support drop off right after we get Nyotengu.

Yeah what do you know we might have been right after all Kronin. ;) (And now everything makes sense as the official website had listed "New StageS" as well). This is awesome news though can't wait to see what the characters look like on the PS4/XB1.

I called it. Expect those "contest costumes" to be added to this version.

I hope they pull a Marie with Nyotengu's release and accidentally put her on the eng psn store monday night rather than tuesday afternoon. Didn't happen with Phase 4 though so >> I can only dream

This game needs anti aliasing badly as many people have said before so that would be huge for me. Taking away all those pixelly edges is a small way to make the game look much better.

Also improved hair/cloth physics, more polygons on the characters (mostly the guys, a lot of the girls are perfectly fine), less clipping
