You still had respect for Capcom? That died for me along with the respect for Ninja Theory after DmC.

I guess I should rephrase and say that they've had many titles that I've enjoyed in the past. I think it's hilarious though that rather than them try and collaborate with other companies and come out with new games that will sell better they start burning bridges with them instead.

This pretty much confirms that there will never be a DOA x SF. XD

Dignity with the roster aside(So you forget Jello Clone, the old chicken man, a business man/scientist for an overall villain and Zack, but then act like the game suddenly lost "dignity" now? Yeah I doubt the plot (he died) was the reason why old Tengu was axed. Ein is a perfect example of still existing as a playable despite not being relevant to the plot since his debut back in DoA 2. Unless your talking about that other plot...

Thanks for reiterating the fact that I've always been talking about since she was announced...I was stating that for why the bosses in GENERAL wasn't coming back(like Raidou and Genra)

Their alleged policy is not to bring back characters who are canonically dead, though I find that a weak excuse seeing as they have no issue bringing in one thousand guest characters that totally canon rape their story.

He was not brought back for other reasons.

And our hearts weigh heavy for this loss.

Guest characters don't really count all that much and you know it. Otherwise Aeon(The Lizardman in SC series) ate Kratos and got his powers...which complicates GoW hard and plenty of other examples. The VF characters barely matter to the plot at large.

I do know guest characters actually affect the plot to a certain extent.

They axed Kiliks red trenchcoat Ayo Dante wouldn't be a clone, and Ashlotte is part of the actual story and how the second Astaroth came about.

Plot matters in a Fighting game? But seriously, the only FGs I give credit with story at all is Mortal Kombat(atleast backstory wise and actually relaying what happened at the beginning of each game) and Guilty Gear and Blazblue. But my point was the fact that the guest characters never really affected DOA5U as a whole because it felt more like cameos(Sarah training at the same place Tina was, Akira deciding to train with Kokoro and...what was Pai doing?)

I get the strangest feeling you're not reading what I'm typing.

My last few posts can basically be summarized like this:

Team Ninja claims they don't want to make dead characters come back, hence why they didn't make Bankotsubo return.
I claim that's stupid, because the plot doesn't matter.
I conclude that the real reason that they didn't make Bankotsubo come back and made Nyotengu instead is because they couldn't resist the easy cash and wank material from adding some more boobs in his place, because the "plot excuse" is just not compelling in the slightest, especially when TN takes no issue with making guest characters who compromise alleged "plot integrity."

I would be completely okay with TN making another non-cannon DOA like dimensions that includes every character 1-5U. The fighting games that I enjoy the most are the ones where they say to hell with the story and focus on gameplay instead. TTT2 is by far my favorite Tekken game b/c it includes almost everyone and gives tons of fan service (the good kind like creative stages and funny movies). I'm already worried about Tekken 7 b/c I know they're going to be cutting the roster down and focus on the game being "serious" again.

As they should. There are just too many characters and it's too difficult to get into as a whole.

Guest characters don't even effect story that much, their background story just gives them an excuse to exist in that particular game.

I think I sort of understand why certain characters are being left out.... it's simply because they aren't relevant enough to be a priority. Or something like that.
