I agree, there's way too many of these in the game already. The majority of the girls are now either Yamato Naseshikos or Cutesy Moe girls. Kasumi, Kokoro and Momiji being the former and Lei Fang, Hitomi and Marie Rose being the latter.

Funny how it's almost entirely the Asian girls too (except Ayane). I would love to see a cool Asian girl that isn't a brat. That's really what Momiji should've been. Not Kasumi and Kokoro's love child.

And god, I srsly miss when Hitomi and Lei Fang weren't always acting like a cutesy moe blobs. Especially Hitomi. ;n;

This is why I tend to prefer most of the non-Asian girls that is around Lisa/Helena's age and above. At most, the only ones who are neutral to me among the Asian girls personality-wise are just Kasumi and Ayane. The rest are just... Ugh. Sugar-puking kittens... :/

It makes me terrified that Mila will also become flanderized into a cutesy girl. In her case shell probably be turned into a constantly squeeing fan girl based on the diner scene when she realized who Tina was.

The fact that most of her dlc leans more towards cute than Mila as it is worries me so much.

Her jailbaity KO scream is aggravatingly earsplitting enough to get her classified with them sadly.

Well, everyone is entitle to their opinion I guess. Though there is nothing doormat-ish about Momiji. In all honesty, I think you're being more hasty than anything. Solely for the fact she hasn't actually been placed into the story yet so all we have to go off is a couple win quotes.

Her win quotes don't give us much to go off either. I actually ( not even once. ) thought that she undermined her own ability. The only quote that even suggests this is "Wow! I guess I am getting stronger." which by no means suggests that she thinks she is bad. People who think they are the best, and shouldn't have to improve are ridiculous. I'm glad they took a slightly modest route with Momiji. Everybody has room for improvement, there is no such thing as perfect.

I agree with just about all of this. I hate Mila's cutesy and or half naked outfits because to me Mila is the girl next door type girl who isn't provocative in anyway and just so happens to be pretty. The only cutesy outfit i'll admit i like is her trench coat casual wear. But when they give her outfits like that crap string bikini i just sigh because they have girls like Tina to have provocative outfits.

I think TN always gives OOC clothing to their characters. I can't exactly picture about.... 70% of the girls actually wearing the bikini's they wear. Or Kokoro running around in that stupid beret and overall costume.... lets not even approach her casual costume which is probably the stupidest looking thing in the entire game that in reality- nobody would wear.

Also, Momiji isn't cutesy. The only "cutesy" thing about her is her taunts.

TN definitely isn't trying to make Momiji cute. I think they just wanted her to be kind and friendly but they thought that without doing cute faces and poses she would seem sarcastic (is this sentence even grammatically correct ) like Christie Monteiro because she says to her opponents things like ''Hey, did you hurt yourself?'' or ''Go easy on me!'' but is she nice for them or anything? No, she's just making fun of them. And this is something TN didn't want for Momiji.

Honestly I don't think Momji is "cutesy", she's just awfully kind. You also made a good point about the fact that she's a Shrine Maiden. I guess it's to be expected. She definitely my favourite of the Yamato Nadeshiko archetypes in the game so I don't really mind. Kasumi is the one that gets on my nerves.

Since DOAD pretty much rewrote the entire DOA canon, it's safe to assume that those personality traits carried over to DOA5, which clearly takes from the DOAD canon. It was apparent to me that this was the case when Eliot and Ayane had a special intro pose together, because it's referencing the DOAD scene where Ayane slaps Eliot.

Returning to the possible next characters, considering the recent trend of TN to use characters or movesets from the past, I really think that a playbale Donovan (with a model already present in DoA5 even if maybe just partially) and a moveset inspired to Raidou or Genra could get really big chances. The only obstacle is that he is a man XD

Anyway the presence of Donovan should indicate a more active role of him in Doa6, presumably also his eventual death, and I'm not sure if I would like it now... But to play with Donovan would be pretty cool.

About Irene, everyone is free to dislike her but after DoA Dimensions, with the only exception of Donvovan, from all the characters already known she is always been the one to make more sense for getting an inclusion in the series - of course from a plot pov - on the opposite for example of Momiji or Rachel (not that I'm not glad for their presence in the DoA universe). This seems to me hardly contestable

After DoA5, now I don't hope than the sequel will get more characters only that will keep all the ones already existing (this is a joke but not entirely).

And on the Momiji spectrum, trying to add what she is from NG to DOA is just laughable as hell. Being polite =/= a doormat, but considering most of the people like the above Pre-DOA5 Ayane...

You don't have to be on acid to reach enlightenment. And if you still don't believe me watch his story mode in 4 on YT he holds bottles multiple times and staggers which most people can make the assumption he's drunk.

You do know before the whole mess that was DOAD & DOA5, she kinda was "a stone cold bitch that would kill people", right? While she wasn't exactly "stone cold", she's still a cold person. If you weren't Kasumi, Hayate, or Ryu, you were just about non-existent to her, if you got in her way you got your ass handed to you. Also, she's perfectly capable of killing people without hesitation and "just because". Ninja Gaiden is a perfect example. It just feels weird seeing her being so friendly with people since given her back story, any type of relationship shouldn't come to her that easily.

Never was a Momiji fan, quite possibly never will be...one of the characters that I didn't really care if she joined/died or whatever the case may be. I explored her, checked videos from top to bottom, went through NG scenes as well as her appearance on DS. For me, she just looks overall boring.

The only thing I like about her so far is that she killed the Tengu Bros on NG2......that's about it. She does play an important role now so I'll have to respect it, she deserves credit. I just hope she does not replace Hayabusa.

She's just a plot device to give someone other than Hayabusa the job of holding onto the Dragon's Eye. She does have a good design and I like her as an addition to the franchises, though.
