I just don't think it's fair to pay for a stage, that's just how i view it
Costumes won't be used for every aspect while a stage will, we didn't pay for the lorelei

TN will pack any new stages into future patches as demonstrated in the past. They are already getting away with the spoils on paid female DLC costumes where most people seem happy about paying for the cosmetic goodies so I highly doubt TN will suddenly charge for future stages (if we are even getting any) and risk the bad PR backlash at this point especially when the DLC characters are for sale as well.

Edit: For the record I wouldn't mind paying for stages that interest me because that will always be the better alternative then paid DLC gravure videos.

We also didn't pay for 4 of the ninjas. That doesn't mean the rest of the characters should be free, too.

I'm all for free stages, don't get me wrong. But if it's "pay for new stages" or "no new stages," you can bet I'm in favor of paying for stages.

Paid stages could get messy online though. If I pay $5 for a stage I don't want it to be thrown out of the possible selectable stages online just b/c player X didn't buy it. On the flip side, if they could play on it then I don't think it's fair that I had to pay for it and they get to use it for free by fighting me.

See, a dlc character is fine because the amount of work that goes into one and tweaking and balance and all that other bullshit is fine

but for a stage it's literally just make it and you're done, if it's a stage that involves stair throws i'll pay for that but otherwise naw, i'm good and besides i really can't think of another game that did paid stage dlcs

Have you ever designed 3D game areas? It's a lot harder than it looks.

Now granted, I give TN no credit for their lazy import stages. Aircraft Carrier? Puh-leeze.

But if they straight-up remade the Aerial Gardens in high-def or made some brand-new, totally awesome kickbutt multi-leveled cliff Izuna stage? Or a new, elaborate Home-like stage? Yeah. TN can have my money.

I'm not saying it's easy, because i know it's not but i'm saying it's less difficult then a character (a lot less difficult) especially since stages in resident evil get used for a whole lot of things(which is ok for dlc imo) but a bought stage for a fighter is just unheard of

also if you want to spend your money on those stages good for you(wow, i'm trying not sound like an asshole with that statement) I just wouldn't spend my money on a stage(characters are a different story)

dlc/money debate ah, gotta hate it

Not when the character is a copied/imported model who basically stole an old moveset and whose costumes are just reskins of existing outfits.

A new stage takes much more effort and is far more worthy of monetary compensation than Phase 4, imo.
Then again, I still can hardly fathom that TN actually made Phase 4 and thinks it's a legit new character.
