For porn, but NOT for a fighting game lol. Go back in history about fighters and you'll see that boobs is not what makes it sale or even DLC characters. If DOA had crappy gameplay not smooth like it is and NO multi-levels, interesting move sets, and really good graphics it won't sale boobs won't be enough.Yeah of course characters do make the game, but again it's all about what you can do. If Boobs sale a fighting game alone, how come Rumble Roses flopped. I think what's really selling the game is it's gameplay. As you play you'll forget about the boobs, but more about the moves. I personally bought the game because of the multi-levels and the smooth gameplay, I could care less about the boobs. I guarantee you if Tengu was released he'll sale like hotcakes, just as much as Phase 4 and Marie Rose. He's a unique looking and original character that adds a different flavor. Considering if he's released and updated in new graphics he'll look awesomel. His alternate costumes will be awesome. Sorry boobs won't sale better than an interesting character or male character that's interesting, you're forgetting Marie Rose doesn't have boobs to show off and look, she's selling.

@Dacthunder Come on, I wish you were right, but you cannot be so naïve.
Tengu will surely attract a lot of people who are curious (and who don't know DOA2/DOA4), but at the end, he will never sell as well as MR, or be more popular than her in future installments.
Again, I wish it wasn't like this, but it is how it works in DOA and many others FGs.

I'm sad Gen Fu, Tengu, Ein and Leon were the least popular characters in DOA4 : one of them was not given novelty in DOA5, while the rest was just simply cut because they had the least priority.

Calling me naive is an understatement which has no relevance. What is least popular when "a lot" of people are and were asking for those characters....sounds like you can't see facts. Team Ninja deliberately left them out so they can sell copies, if those characters won't popular you would had never seen them in the game. You obviously don't if Tengu won't sell more than MR or phase 10 until you see the numbers. Let me know how you obtained Professor X's powers. I think you're forgetting about casual gamers especially outside of Japan and I am one who hasn't even bought Marie Rose. Ok now I'm done, I think I'm talking to a tree that Tengu sat and fart on. Anything you write after this, I have no further comment you can't see my point obviously.

I'm sure if you go into the DLC section of the PS Store and compare the number of ratings of guy vs girl costumes you'll see the girls have much more ratings.. This is DOA :)

Anyway Tengu might actually have a chance since they were originally planning a character bundle. That's the only way I see a male character being added as DLC

Mostly because the girls have more. It's not really a fair comparison.
