Your ticket gets you one color for one hairstyle for one character. That’s it. The color isn’t even permanent, in that if you reset the color to the default, if you wanted the former color, you‘d have to pay again.
So how are the incorrigible DOA6 apologists going to defend this?
For everyone who still doesn't get it, this is what is happening right now:
The DOA series experienced a big exodus of fans and players from DOA5 to DOA6. (We went over why that happened a million times, so I'm not gonna go over that again.)
Instead of trying to fix what is wrong with DOA6 and to get those old fans and players back, because that would cost Koei Tecmo time, money, effort and good will, they are going all in with the monetization of the game to at least milk the last drop out of the remaining fans. They are pumping the well dry as fast as they can, because they know it's not sustainable like that and it will go dry at one point. They are banking on "whales" that they know will buy any kind of DLC, even if it the most overpriced, the most lazy or outright recycled stuff from DOA5. At one point basically only the whales will be left, but they might still be enough to make KT a good profit. KT will have the forecast and numbers on that, I don't know.
For that reason we are only seeing female characters and why the next female character comes outright from DOAXVV, a free to play gacha game. They know the remaining fans, many of them the aforementioned whales, will absolutely love that, because they are already into that heavily monetized waifu simulation gacha life. And this is what the DOA fighting game series is turning into, and while this makes some of you very happy, many of us other old fans can just look in horror at it from the sidelines.
