I'd assume he/she is basing this on past games. But do keep in mind that somebody already datamined Groh's frame data. It won't be long until Mi-Na's is available.

Dude...do you realize how shit tier she was in SC4? Mi-Na being intermediate and very strong in SC6 is a huge blessing compared to how horrible she was in that POS of a game that was released in 2008.
It's not her tier standing that bothers me, I just don't like how she was so much easier in SC4 and relied on just knowing the game and such and now in SC6 her inputs and such were almost completely changed where I feel like she's a completely different character, she is strong tho as far as damage output is concerned. Sophitia hasn't changed much so she's the only character atm I feel comfortable with until Amy comes along but they'll likely add some artificial difficulty to her as well since she was super easy in SC4 xD

I don't see why tho, frame data is vital especially if you're a player who wants to play seriously. Although for Namco games i kinda learned how to go by instinct, I can "feel" and see visually what attacks I do are safe or unsafe and I just test the unsafety by using the reaction the opponent has to perform A,A or K, it's honestly shocking that attacks like Sophie's 4A,B and such are actually unsafe but it makes sense since the other option is a low xD but I do really like Sophie's kit in this game, it's simplistic and she has only what she needs and not much extra like I prefer
Harada says that giving out frame data makes players play all the same way, and that's there's no discovery period where people are trying out different styles, or something to that effect.

That's ridiuclous xD even if I knew the accurate frames for lili I wouldn't play her any different tbh

I've been mostly playing the story mode and Libra of Souls, but the CAS has probably been taking up most of my time with the game. Here are some more characters I've made.

Thorne: This is my Libra of Souls character. EDIT: I've changed her top to add tiger stripes instead of the stock bandages.

Alavanthis: A remake of my elven prince character that I made in SCV.

Nivarra: The bodyguard of Alavanthis

Celeste: A character I made in SCV with the idea of her being part of some secret military organization. Her previous iteration didn't have the pauldrons or the harness underneath the coat, but I though the outfit needed a bit extra.

Nemesis: I had tried to make an automaton character in SCV but I was never satisfied with the results. Fortunately the Automaton race they put in the game led me to a better result than what I had previously.

That's absurd lol. It's 2018 about to be 2019. You could learn frame data and still be absolute ass in the games so people shouldn't see any sorts of deep harm of them adding it, it helps players in the long run and it's a benefit to have it. There's no real reason to not include it.

That sounds more like a problem of: "I don't know how to create movesets that encourage diverse playstyles" than a problem with sharing frame data.

Does anyone else find this Libra of Souls mode absolutely painful? There's a lot of single-player content in this game but it's all so damn boring. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather the PvP be fun and the PvE stale than the other way around, but would it hurt to have both?

It's a pretty dumb argument, even when reading the actual quote (from this article).
It is of course possible to display the frame data within the game but I wouldn’t do it…If players could easily have access to such data within the game, it will allow players to uncover and find out the intricacies and details about characters and their moveset much faster which can lead to an impact on the game’s lifespan.

This also has an effect on the players who like to strategize and discuss the game’s characters and balance since all their arguments will no longer be arguments since there will be the ultimate authority: a – ‘word of god’ in the game.

Even his Heihachi argument feels suspect, especially since he mentions something that shows that frame data isn't the be-all end all that it seems with alternate block states.
If you were to look at Tekken 6 or [Tekken Tag Tournament 2] Heihachi’s and only look at his frame data you may find out that he may not actually be a good character…However when playing against Heihachi inside a match, certain players may say that he has good moves since they feel that might not be able to punish an attack after blocking them since they see a bit of a ‘heavy’ guard after blocking it.

Harada is either a masochist or a dunce. Not sure why so many people like him so much.

It's only going to take 1-2 weeks anyway till the most crucial data is out in public… impact frames for neutral moves, disadv on block & (counter) hit, that's all the SC community traditionally had. This is is merely an inconvenience for new players and those that join later since they have to dig up the info from around the net…

SCV had a Future Press guide with basically complete and pretty accurate FD(few mistakes if I recall correctly). From all the reasons that hurt the games longevity, day 1 Frame Data certainly wasn't among them.

The Digital Foundry tech analysis is out:

Resolution is as I expected 720p on XBox One, 900p on PS4, 1080p on PS4 Pro and 1440p on One X. This is no improvement over T7… (well I guess it is on a One X since Namco still did not release a Patch for that, right?)
Was pretty sure they couldn't push it to a native 4k one OneX and some other advanced upscaling techniques are certainly too much effort for SCVI…

As everyone with eyes could already tell (and the file size gives it away too), asset quality is the same across platforms… which means last gen assets everywhere.

If you play on a base XBox you get no improvement in resolution, model, or texture quality over SCV… maybe slightly better AA and the physics-based lighting of UE4…

Also… SCVI sold 22(famitsu)-24k(media create) physical copies… which is half of SFV, less than half of T7 (and about a third of DoAX3 XD)

Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon (The Witcher), Nelliel Tu Oderschwanck (Bleach) and Qrow Branwen (RWBY) join the fight! xP

I'm really dissapointed with Groh's hairstyle not showing the colour it should in create a soul and character select screen, because is the kind of hair I'll go for dudes like Qrow or Ichigo.

Geralt is pretty fun. I usually main Mitsurugi in the games but I'm going with Geralt this time around. He more or less has all the tools I want a character to have in a non-DOA game. Easy to use, combos are easy execution (minus 4AA timing but with the Lethal Hit combos I came up with yesterday you need to know it), good range, decent speed, good whiff punishment, an amazing GI in his Yrden spell, and not being limited in his meter usage is very nice and his Igni extensions can be pretty bonkers. He's pretty fun once you get the hang of him, you do need to be a little intelligent with him or you'll lose all your meter in no time at all.
Making plans to come up with a combo video because nobody (even on 8 Way Run) is really talking about him.
