I'm starting to think at this point that they do have news, they're just perhaps trolling us, and by doing so it'll make the fan base's demand for another SC game even greater...a pretty smart move if you ask me. It's probably not the case, but they do keep telling us to follow them on their Facebook page, they KNOW we want another SC game. They're just trying to make us beg at this point.

I do think they're planning/working on a new Soul Calibur, maybe just not ready.

SCVI is definitely on the way sometime in the future. They wouldn't be trying to build hype if they had nothing to show.

Or maybe make SC6 takes place after SC4 so they don't have to dealt with the time gap or with the new characters that no one seem to like.

I know that quite a few people have a problem with the fact that to many characters in the games get their ages stuck at a young age so I'm not sure. I'd actually really like to see Talim as a grown woman now to be honest!

I doubt they'll show anything SCVI-wise at Gamescom. It's probably going to be the same stuff they fed people at SDCC :/

Yeah, not getting my hopes up anymore as long as Tekken 7 isn't out on consoles. I'm pretty sure though that they are working on SC6 already for quite a while now.

Well, in two weeks is Cologne's Gamescom, the biggest games convention in the world. It gets after E3 internationally the biggest press coverage and there have been some cool game announcements in the past. It would definitely be a good place to announce something like SC6. Events after this are only Paris Games Week and Tokyo Game Show. But both are smaller and get less international coverage.

I need something to let me know a new SC is in the works. Even just a brief flash of the logo would suffice, anything just so I know it exists and that the game I grew up with isn't dead.

Yoshimitsu isn't immortal, the Yoshimitsu in SCV and Tekken games are a totally different person.

In the Manji clan the potential new leader fights the old leader to the death, if the potential leader defeats the previous Yoshimitsu he is then valid to weild the sacred blade himself and is renamed Yoshimitsu.

My main thing is that I don't want any of the characters getting their ages stuck at what they currently are since I like to see the characters get older.

That's just supplemental material to explain why the same yoshimitsu is in two eras. Person behind the mask is different but its still yoshimitsu.

Its like how there was zero reason to say Yoshimitsu and Astaroth are successors in sc5 since there's no ACTUAL difference.

As I said above on this page: Not getting my hopes up. I really don't see them announcing SC6 before Tekken 7 is out of the way on console. And that'll take at least half a year.

I hate the fact that SC is treated as Namco Bandai's stepchild and Tekken 7, the golden child, is getting all their care and attention. D:

I can see them announcing it to build hype, and then releasing it after Tekken 7. If you look at the patterns, you'll notice that there is a correlation between Tekken and SC's release dates.
