Damn, I got hit once during a bare handed attempt ahaha. Didn't have enough time to do another and demo was about to be over so maybe some other time. @Brute @Fiend Busa @CyberEvil


I'm shocked I was able to survive that hit actually, last few times I went against this boss for a bare handed attempt I got 1-shotted from the claw attacks. Not sure how I survived that one.

Where did you guys find the Ninja gear/outfit?
DestructionBomb, your barehanded video was amazing. I never could beat Tachibana for some reason despite doing it in the beta. I couldnt figure out the dodge timing on that charge move he spams.
Besides Ki pulse, what is the best setup to make your stamina last longer? I noticed in the all these highlight vids people's stamina is barely going down even when they were running. Felt like I couldnt block/dodge or run with losing 75% of my Ki.

When you go completely no armor, your stamina regen is at it's peak since it's not even (L). Though if you are looking for most stamina stuff, I believe you have to get certain skills that reduce the costs via Ninja area, such as dashing or dodging. Then you'll probably want to stack it together with traits from armors that provides it like ki costs, running sprint cost etc.

Keeping yourself in low stance and using light gear reduces your ki usage in general.

Pretty much, though low stance isn't a great priority all the time if you are trying to burn the boss down. You can literally go Mid and provide just as much effort with moderate returns after you dodge or run. (imo) We need the full game to figure some of the stuff out though.

It was an ability that made you sheathe your weapon automatically upon a successful ki pulse. The animation created a kind of white phasing effect, similar to the after-images of the flying swallow.

Wait, that's still in the game no? I remember doing something like that against Tachibana for farming using R1+O after stance switching from High stance triangle when he's low on stamina. It instantly goes back on the sheathe before the animation and I just let it go into another stance attack.

Did anyone in here notice “buggy movement”? I read a bunch of complaints that William randomly stutters while strafing (or walking in 2 o' clock direction), but personally couldn't reproduce the issue… if people claim the game “eats inputs” you kind know they overestimate the game's input buffer, or think they can cancel out of everything, but walking should be easy enough for everyone.

At this point I'm not even sure if the “Soulslike” label helps, or hurts the game. Some people complain it's just a Souls clone, other's basically complain it's not enough of a clone (“Attacks not on triggers/bumpers what is this heresy?”)
Well… I guess we'll know in a few weeks.

If you tap in one direction repeatedly while returning back into the deadzone than you'll stutter forward, but that's a rather common element in games. Didn't notice anything otherwise.

The Iao strike was in the latest demo, but the sheathe pulse to charge it was not.

So I found out that Twilight missions within the Torii Gate has extra enemies spawning with the boss of that stage, compared to summoning visitor version where no extra enemies will spawn at the boss area.

Oh hm. Not sure I like there being so many different enemy layouts. Two is enough.

You guys remember those wall golems in that stage where you fought Hino-enma? I just found out on Reddit that if you perform the "Wave" gesture on it, it'll close it's eyes and vanish for the way to open for you. If you perform the "threaten" gesture, it'll release itself to fight you without having the need to hit it, and finally if you perform the "laugh" gesture, it'll explode.

Yeah, I discovered that. Nobody I played with ever let me pass through them that way, though. They attacked recklessly every time.

well we finally found out whose directing it. Hayashi said he is the one that put the team together but Yasuda is the one overseeing the details.

"As the studio head I’m not always able to be at the studio. So my responsibilities are more putting the team together. And Yasa-san’s responsibility is to kind of oversee the direction of the game, he’s the one who oversees the details. I really wanted him to be here as well but he’s so focused on making the game work he couldn’t."

I trust Yasuda, i don't trust hayashi.

But.

Once you clear the game we’re going to offer an ability that translates to being able to change the way you look and you’ll be able to transform to other characters.

This seriously sparks my curiosity, will be like a skin only, or a complete change of character including voice clips? that sounds cool

Since I am not really interested in the game, all I ever think looking at these scenes is DOA6 and how it might look in comparison. The girl in that scene looks totally like Momiji by the way.
