Community Important TFC Information

I hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day! Moving on... TFC is coming and will be here before you know it, and the main question to the community is "are you going?"

TFC seems to be Wrestlemania for our DOA tournaments, and not only is there a particular road path you can take to get there, but the top 6 payout is $8,000. On top of that you get to witness intense matches, and a huge variety of the best competitors doing what they do.

Stay tuned for future information, and be prepared for registration!

Don't take my response as anything but informative. I merely was giving you a list of the hurdles that need to be done.

I'm not offended in any way by your initial question.

:)

Well you made me constructive like all hell. But why look at them as hurdles when all they really do is help evolve it, it wasn't a very we can do this attitude. What are your thoughts then?

The drive it can create can carry over to other causes. And in terms of marketing, it will give us a data base to work from.

When I said, “Why should only Americans get the support?” I didn’t mean anything bad. I live outside the country and when I heard the TFC news, my first thought was... I would love to go to this year’s TFC. My second thought was... How sick would it be if Australia was included in the Road to TFC. Or other countries for that matter.

If you’re scared it's going to fail, I've got 500 that says otherwise. And if a guy or two decides to not buy any pizza, snacks and soft drinks for a week and donates the proceeds and we only get 600, enough to cover for a nice dinner for 10. Then that's good enough, but why aim that low. Fuck man, there is nothing wrong with giving to the community.

I'm addressing you because you're Mr FSD, you don’t have to give money for the it, as you already do enough. For you to power to address your community which is worth much more than a few bux, and if so far your word is "no let’s not help the community", despite the recent front page posts... It would be like the Pope making a speech that asks people to not help their neighbour.

It's not asking people for help to travel; it’s saying thank you those who already have made the effort of making their own way out by giving them a little something something.

We are not begging. There is no connotation of we cannot help ourselves. Frankly, that's a very twisted notion. We are coming together as a team for a cause. How the hell do you think the Jews and LGBT have so much financial and political power or get things done?

I can't force a thing and you can't force a thing. It's up to individuals to make an effort. Scenes outside of the USA could organize donation tournaments, which does a few things...

1. Gives scene some extra drive, an extra reason to compete against each other.
2. Help train up their level whether they have someone travelling or not.
3. Helps out the campaign.

The early we do this the more time people have to save to go.

@Junglist_Ninja I would as well except there are more people more appropriate for it than me… Me being some guy in Australia.

I'm not hexing TFC, but people need to understand that there is a possibility that this may be the last opportunity for a great DOA tournament. To help our or attend would be something
This is a bit irrelevant but my business partner is in melborn (sp?). Big ups to Australia. From what I hear, you guys have a strong scene. I wish you the best of luck and hope you and your AU ppl can make it out this way.

Anyone's free to make a post asking for donations to help get them to TFC if they find they need a little extra push to do so.

I don't think we should make a habit of people asking for money from the community. This is part of why I suggested what I did to you, Matt.

Any respectable players local to the TFC location?

You should read what I've posted @CyberEvil and message me privately if you have any concern. Beside it a matter of getting the community to get behind something it doesn't have to be money, unless the individual wants to help by giving money but that the same time... when was the last major tournament that was totally free and didn't require any community action?

I want to hear your thoughts.

My post had nothing to do with you directly or what you've been posting. I have some thoughts on a different way of helping the community without having half a dozen individuals posting up for help but it's not something that I can move forward on by myself anyway. The thread has been derailed enough but once things come together a bit more you'll likely hear more on it all...if it becomes a reality, anyway.

Support and encouragement for the internationals looking to attend TFC is extremely relevant but it seems like there is a better way to concentrated efforts. I'll shush here then if that is the case.

Check your PM.

And if anyone knows of any respectable players local to the TFC location. PM me.

Don't want to sound like a dick but travel should be an individual's own responsibility. Asking people for money (people who do work for their money) is bogus. Employment is a wonderful thing, gentlemen.

What I'm talking about and what you're talking about is the difference between paying for a sexual experience and having someone willing and happy to do it for you then buying them something nice afterwards because they deserve it and you want to cultivate the relationship.

International players should realise that there is a chance that this will be the biggest DOA event ever. To be a part of it will be grand. Vicariously or not.
