Guess I'll chime in. This pack was very hit or miss, mostly misses with very few hits and a lot of those just kinda hitting the edge of the target.
7.5/10 - One of the best of the bunch. I'm still disappointed that he didn't get the Dragon Knight costume, but this outfit looks far better than I thought it would. Maybe it's just the color scheme and me being a sucker for black as always, but I'm sold. It's the best costume DLC he's ever had, and I'll be buying it. Cheers, TN.
6.5/10 - Pretty good, points for his hair being down.
7/10 - Old man looks good as a pirate.
3/10 - Eh.
9/10 - Dope, best male costume hands down. Rig is generally treated pretty well among the males as far as costumes go. Anyone that plays this character should be buying this outfit without question.
7.5/10 - Not on Rig's tier, but still pretty great and fitting for her. I approve, good choice on enhancing the scythe as well.
5/10 - Meh. It suits him, it's just not a very good costume in general.
6.5/10 - Pretty much we all expected this one. Was a favorite. In that regard from what I've seen it could have looked better but it's a nice costume and it suits her. Would have been crazy to see Brute's Necro Tengu though.
6.5/10 - Very unexpected! It actually suits her very much and looks cool, but it's a spit in the face to anyone that pushed for this design, because they wanted it on another character.
4/10 - Crap. It wouldn't have been that bad a choice if there hadn't actually been really good designs that could have been picked instead of this.
3/10 - Very generic and plain. Lei had one of the highest number of designs in the game and some actually fairly interesting ones. To go for such an uninspired prehistoric demon design was lazy from any standpoint you can imagine.
6/10 - Seems to be getting a lot of love but I'm not really feeling it. Don't like the gloves and not really feeling the mask placement either, it looks like it'll be an eyesore during matches. They should have just put it on him with the option to remove it built in. Reserving full judgement until I see the whole thing and see it in action.
6.5/10 - Not a huge fan of Sumo Bass myself, but the man looks good.
6.5/10 - Green Hornet, anyone? Need to see the whole thing but it looks alright. Need to see the whole thing but so far it seems worth the buy for anyone that cares enough about Jacky.
7/10 - Kado. Pretty stylish. One of the better male costumes.
8/10 - Was supposed to be Kokoro's, but Helena looks pretty amazing in it herself and it suits her. Helena players should probably pick this up.
2/10 - One of the worst in the bunch. Not only for it's generic and forgettable nature, but that Sarah had one of the most fantastic designs in the entire contest with that wolf pelt, and instead we get this. It's an insult to both the costume designer and anyone that expected anything good, or even decent for Sarah.
5/10 - There were better designs, this just doesn't really cut it.
4/10 - Even worse than Ryu's. Not that he actually had any designs to work with, but I could probably think of at least 100 designs that would have been better than this.
3/10 - LOL, wasn't this one of Rig's designs? Do not want.
3.5/10 - Eh, predictable, pointless symmetry with Bayman and picked over a plethora of better more imaginative designs that actually would have been pretty cool (Zombie survivor Christie C'MON!!!).
2.5/10 - Eh, no. It actually doesn't deserve a score this low, but I wanted Astro Leon like everyone else. Why would we get this?
0/10 - The biggest offender of them all. A lazy, stupid copy paste from Momiji's Halloween outfit last year. I have no words for the laziness and non existent effort that went into this costume, as well as all of the designs for Mila that were spit on. Some of which were actually pretty cool.
4/10 - It looks okay but... why is she copying Tina? She had designs, why is she mimicking another character's? Can't she have her own original and unique costume? Wasn't that the point of the contest to begin with?
7/10 - She looks viewtiful!
3/10 - Got the shaft here. Her coveted Skeleton design was given to Rachel and she was given a forgettable angel counterpart to an already terrible Ayane devil costume.
6/10 - She had better designs to be sure, but this looks alright I guess, and at least she isn't copying anyone else.
5.5/10 - Eh, couldn't bring myself to give it a higher score. It's not that it doesn't look alright, it even suits her. It's just too cliche, and she actually had some really unique designs I would have liked to see instead.

1/10 - The most obvious choice of them all. The slutty succubus design that won the contest, we all knew it was getting in and few if any of us actually wanted it. TN jumped at the chance to show more skin of course. On top of being tasteless, it doesn't even really look like anything. It gets a 1 purely because a 0 would put it on par with Mila's, and nobody got it at bad as Mila.

Thanks for your words Zeo, I'm glad that I was able to get your preference this time contrarily to my previous attempt with Ein in the first contest. But sadly I found only other 3 people liking it XD I believe that the idea was cool but that I developed it bad.
Said this, pirate Ein is a very nice outfit in my opinion.

Just noticed Helena's costume had the same type of dress as her beige cheongsam. I was hoping it would cover more surface, but it would probably be too glitchy.
It will be a nice substitute to her black piguaquan dress from DOA2. She needed black in her wardrobe anyway.

Let's go over his costumes...
C1 - Hoodie, looks good.
C2 - Construction outfit, looks good.
C3 - Tae Kwon Do Gi, unique, gets the job done and it's different from his other costumes.
C4 - Hoodie recolor, but it looks ok.
C5 - Prison getup, looks pretty cool and isn't suggestive like most of Ein's stuff despite being shirtless.
C6 - Tuxedo, neat if you're into that sort of thing.
C7 - MMA Shorts, Generic.
C8 - Santa, Generic.
C9 - Soccer outfit, Generic but it's better for him because he's a kick character.
C10 - Skeleton suit, pretty great outfit from last year's Halloween set.
C11 - Casual Rig, not a big hawaiian shirt guy but he makes it work + the hat.
Now he has the reaper outfit as C12. He, like the other males gets shafted in costume amount vs females, but as far as actual costume quality goes, generally all of his are pretty good. He's got a pretty sweet deal.

I don't understand Kasumi's. They had pressure to put Ayane's in the game because it was #1. What was the reason for giving a redesign to Kasumi? Laziness? They usually put effort into Kasumi. :/ Sex appeal? They often give her more conservative (by DOA's standards) outfits than the other girls. Looks like yet another lock symbol I'll see picking outfits for her.

I believe that Jann Lee's outfit want give the idea of Kato from Green Hornet that has just put aside his top (of course the pistol on the pants is for giving the idea of a generic superhero).
All the green on the outfit want again call the idea of the Green Hornet (the main character that give the name to the series and that paradoxically ended to be less popular of the supporting Bruce Lee - for obvious reasons).
About Kasumi's choice, IMO TN wanted recreate with Kasumi and Ayane their personal sexy versions of:
I would have preffered to get for Kasumi and Ayane more proper angel and devil outfits, but looked under this matter, their specularity appear to me pretty cool now and helped me to revaluate Ayane's design. Now I really like them =)

I don't understand, his outfit seems to me resemble faithfully a Tae Kwon Do Gi; I also remember that Grape realized that had to be a Tae Kwon Do pratictioner in DoA5 just because a picture of this outfit was leaked from the demo in some ways.
By the way I'm starting to believe that him and Phase 4 could be a tag team in Last Round and that the choice of their outfits with a similar theme could be an hint for it.

That was actually at Destruction's post, not yours.
As I stated before, if you are going to use the "it's for everyone" line of reasoning, then you see that there are palette swaps, then you obviously have to look at the fact that it doesn't work lest everyone wants the palette swaps in general. And that's not even including that by that line of questioning, the Top 10 should be in no matter what as well, but they aren't.
That's my entire point, if you want to pander to everyone's tastes, that's fine, but don't act like that Marie not getting her Bellydancer costume(Nor Helena even getting her own set of clothes and got Kokoro's) was for "everyone", it wasn't. Neither was the multiple palette swaps in general either. They either chose not to or they didn't have the time, that's all.

I fully agree with your opinion about Rig's costumes.
Rig's new halloween costume does not look "halloween" to me. Just casual clothes with scythe.
He attached the images in the submission itself. I'm not trying to throw out insults or be mean or anything like that.
Doesn't resemble the uniform I wore in TKD.
