I have been trying to figure it out myself. Was hoping it would add party options.

EDIT: Finally got the fucking Bone Breaker. Diamond Armlet is required if you didn't know.

Anybody know what the dad-gummed blazes this random update to the Dissidia NT online beta update is for? 'Cause I still can't cancel from online matchmaking after 2 minutes, and it doesn't seem to enable character leveling to unlock the missing HP attacks.
No clue. Haven't had time to turn it on since Sunday. Might be stability.
I noticed that the matchmaking acts very similarly to DOA, if you get a party/match and someone disconnects while you are in the process of connecting to them you can't disconnect or leave the current menu and have to close the program and restart it.

Also, a tip on when to tell if you are actually connecting to someone: you will be unable to back out. The back out option literally disappears and within a minute you should have a party appear should your session have decent internet connection.

...I'm a victim of hate and didn't get a beta code lmao. The land is cast with drought, my edges are shook, My crops have been destroyed and the light has left me.

Seems to be a stability update. I haven't started the download yet since new games came in. I'll likely hop in later tonight to get Vaan higher than B but was really trying to get Cecil up there.

Speaking of Dissidia, wished this was completely changed for a console version. Felt like this is how Dissidia should of been in the past minus shorter end style:

Did you guys get the latest FFXV update? 1.15 and I believe the bestiary is unlocked and chapter select. It auto downloaded the moment I started up the PS4.

@Nikotsumi - Just tried the Monster Regalia and it looks like they patched all the issues with jumping off maps with it. No way getting other characters now. Ardyn is the closest one but that involves Dex and all that. It's not worth it.

Yet again they completely miss the point... Ugh

You HAVE to choose a completed game file to play Chapter Select AND you're stuck with the levels so if you're level 50+ and it still doesn't raise the levels of the enemies to yours so you still completely wreck everything in seconds I.e. making the game too easy and boring.

I just wanted to play chapter 3 and not be way too OP is that too fucking much to ask??? Apparently it is.

Yeah, I was hoping there would be double stats to your enemies or at least a level reduction for your characters. I asked for something like that way back.

Previously, I was hoping they would implement a system where we can swap characters within battle/lead. Like Prompto for example, his DLC episode already made a complete version of him playable with you as a player. Same as Gladio. Like going to the menu with an option that says Party and then you can choose who you want as lead with the characters that have been playable so far (Gladio/Prompto).

Honestly, unless I get a sudden urge to replay the game from scratch again I think I'm done with FFXV after Episode Ignis.

All the post launch updates are either game breaking or don't add replay ability just making you OP or something.

Not to mention the almost 70GB it takes up

the saddest part about the closed beta is the fact that miss ultimecia still isn't playable. i've been loving it for the most part though

Almost defeats the purpose. If you outplay someone by dodging at the right moment to get your own attacks in you should be rewarded. The thing that made me finally realize this was that I got backed into a corner (double teamed, but these guys noticed I got both initial kills so they were just trying to take me out so they at least were doing it right) and a Squall used his grounded Fated Circle. I dodged to the side (thankfully the timing hasn't changed for that attack) and got hit mid dodge which really threw me into a fit of rage. Dodging shouldn't be that bad, if used right you should be able to pass through almost anything unless the attack stays active long enough because you outplayed that particular situation.

Some of these feature changes just makes me want to use them less.

Blocking a string forces you to block the entire string (its a damn forced block ffs) and there are no repercussions for the player being blocked aside from not gaining Brave. I'm definitely playing super aggressive to avoid having to block which in the previous games would be suicide because I see this block system and high risk/low reward. ExDeath, Jecht, and WoL may be the only characters that you don't need to be stupid aggressive against to avoid being attacked.

Dodging I only use for long range stuff any more because melee hitboxes are huge in this game and you are better off trying to dash away or jumping. Honestly if you aren't dashing long ranged stuff you are doing it wrong, there are no modifiers so far to increase Brave when you successfully dodge in this game.

Just a PSA btw: The higher your Bravery the more Brave damage you will take (and the higher your opponent's Bravery, the more Brave Damage they will take). You risk getting broken easier so you have to weigh risk/reward with dealing HP dfamage over time or a lot of HP damage at once. This explains why I was doing damage in the thousands when my opponents had 4000 or more Brave.

Somewhat feel the same but I can understand why the devs went with this route. From what I heard in competitive standards, one of the main reasons why vulnerabilities were added for dodging was because the past games dragged matches for a huge extensive amount of time and didn't have players get hit. Something about players constantly avoiding attacks that eats up too much time and instant blocking. I've definitely seen videos where 1vs1 matches literally lasted for over 8 minutes with nothing but air dodging. That is a lot of time if you think about it. ExDeath mirrors is a good example of this but seeing how roles play an importance on this, matches will end quicker in many ways and even situations less expected due to having more players on the field making it harder.

That last bit I never knew about for Dissidia NT. I remember watching a video of a summon on the portables where the opponent would lose more bravery output on hit if he had a huge base number off it, going to assume this is a game mechanic passive trait. Most of the stuff does make sense to a degree.

Just checked the bestiary entries, it's really cool and detailed and there's also some lore in it. Some details on the Daemons' models are really creepy lol.
Chapter select is nice, but I don't see me ever using it. Still no hard mode huh......
