As for those who are still confused by the whole "Last gen aren't getting anything new besides a balance patch", let me try to clear up for you on how I take the information as it was given.
There will be the disc releases of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for $39.99 in America.
There will be a digital release of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $29.99 in America.
There will be a free upgrade provided to those people who want to continue using their copies of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. This upgrade will give you the balance patches of all the characters, but not provide the new stages, characters, or costumes in the upgrade itself. It also won't provide the new system HUD changes at the Character Select screen. I presume when you get this upgrade the new content will be viewable but locked as if it were Core Fighters. In order to use the content, you have to purchase the Last Round DLC from the PSN store at a price that has not currently been announced.
So yes, "Last gen" systems are getting the Last Round game, you just have two methods of doing it: Fresh SKU with the digital $30 content, or old Ultimate copy that you pay for just the new content in Last Round as if it was a DLC release.
