By the way it want mean that he use the Tenjinmon style integrated with moves from Karate. The "modified" imo is intended to hint to his ability to copy the moves from the most various styles for including them in his personal moveset.
PS: By the way this nomenclature come from the PSX version, on the DoA wikia I read that his style is defined as Modified Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu (Tenjinmon style)
Russian, from all the people you was one of the last that I thought would have used the card of "he is a dead character ergo he can't be part of the roster": I realized that you don't like him and his moveset, it's enough to say it for justifying your reasons because you don't want him in the roster, not adding excuses that have no meaning.
By the way Team NINJA seems to have the same mindset, apparently they are inclined to bring back the old movesets but only on alive characters that can affect the plot (a reason because I believe that we will see an Ein in the story of DoA6).

So... DOA5LR will have a F2P version (so far for PS4 and XB1, according to that EventHubbs article) ala Core Fighters did for 5U. Nice. But, how about PS3 and X360?

Good to see core fighters returning for the next gen versions since TN has yet to convince me to pay full price for a 3rd time, especially if the netcode is still trash. 5U had the benefit of my main returning after being cut while 5LR has shown nothing to justify plopping down 40 bucks...so until then it'll be core fighters for me

It's not that he can't be part of the roster it's that he can't be what you want him to be. he can't plot, can't antagonize, can't deffeat the heros, hell can't even fight them. all these things require him to exist in the story.
