Watch everyone get a crappy outfit except for Raidou. For some reason he has been immune to the bad dlc effect so far.

I'm also pretty sure it is going to be something like this. Evening dresses and suits? Dream on! XD Would that even be considered Valentine-ish?

Is it even confirmed that there are male costumes in this DLC?

And please stop posting that ugly, old thing. XD
Didn't know that it is your work. Don't be silly, this design is GREAT! Suit much better than his another costumes. Really like the T-shirt design :)

Alpha 152 will be given a pink recolor, so we won't have to really stress on what she's getting.

I expect its going to be a pink version of her/it's halloween costume but with a halo instead of a horn. On a similar note, I expect Nyotengu to hold a cupid bow since she already has a costume where she holds a heart staff...

So wait, when is next dlc costumes coming out?

I honestly prefer collaboration stuff over gimmick theme packs like Valentines when I look at the current track record.

At least with collaboration you already got an idea what possible costumes might come out of it while everything else just feels like Russian Roulette.

Honestly long stopped caring what Ein got at this point. Dissapointment after dissapointment. My bar is so low that them not deleting the one or two decent outfits he already has is now considered a success in my book.

I personally think even the crossover themes can be hit-or-miss. I found the recent Tatsunoko theme costumes for example rather stupid since the cartoony source material didn't translate very well to DOA's more "realistic" design (Raidou's costume is an exception simply because it looks so ridiculous I can't really hate it). Not only that, while some of the cosplays do end up working for the characters (Tina as Katsuragi, for example), others don't and the resulting costume ends up looking lazily designed; Mila's Tatsunoko bee costume is a good example.

The few fan designed themes are by far the best simply because the costumes were made by people who understand the characters they're making costumes for and make stuff that genuinely work.

Its sad how fans are better at designing the characters better then the people who made them.

Like even with Mila's fan designed outfits:

I hate her camo shorts outfit because it was just a pallete swap of the same outfit we already had several times over, but I still admit its the best version of her "short shorts crop top boots and gloves" costume.

And the Halloween bee outfit would have been more appreciated if it was in one of the first two Halloween packs instead, (especially instead of themummy)but its a huge waste when its so late in the games life.

TN probably views the entire cast as nothing more than a collection of cg models and animations rather than actual characters. On the opposite side, we have had Itagaki who says he views the girls as his daughters which comes across as really creepy given how the girls were presented. Between these 2 mind sets, I would honestly prefer the current TN since the things they've done thru out 5's existence show they're not only trying to add some credibility to the series but the various dlcs show they also want the fans to enjoy themselves.

Yeah, I agree. That's just a little "too much" but I think he continues saying that, because he doesn't wanna lose his own project completely. If you are a creator of something like he did with DOA for TECMO, everything is owned by the company you are working for like nearly forever.

The one thing he needs to do is to build up a new "base of babes" he can call his "daughters". The sales of "Devil's Third" were really frustrating and painful for his new company, I guess. He should go back to the things he can do best.

Back to the topic - I think there might be a chance, that the upcoming DLC pack is another fan-designed one.

Do you mean each costume was fan designed or they took a fan designed costume from one character then copy-pasted it to everyone else?

I would love that. Like Argentus said: it is sad that fans are better designers for characters than people who made them. I think it might be couse we spent time with them, try tu understand their character, make them a little bit more like we see them.

I believe the Valentines Day dlc will release on the 9th since Valentines Day is the 14th. Releasing it on the 16th would be pointless since it would be after the holiday making it irrelevant.
Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to release it after the holiday especially since it's only one day.

I just noticed while looking thru some of the older dlc themes that while all of the girls have gotten costumes from some recurring themes (cheerleader, nurse, schoolgirl, santa, and gym), the girls introduced from ultimate onwards don't have bunny angel/devil suits. They need to fix that...
