I like the little icon that shows the costumes can be destroyed. It comes in handy for if you and the guys are hanging at the house, and you don't want to scare them away with the destructible costumes I wouldn't really care, because I have no chill
What I mean by scare away, is basically people who know nothing of DOA but see the costumes and boobies and get the wrong idea. That's why my dad plays it with me, but my mom doesn'tMy friends would probably laugh, but I don't really believe they'll be scared of it at all(in fact, I would honestly laugh if anyone really does that type of stuff...)
We are past the point where just seeing a girl in a bikini makes us jump out of our chairs, and actually look for good character designs.I just don't understand why fetish and shit DLC sells better.
These Senran and Deception outfits are some of the best sets to come out since forever.
Well, I'm pretty sure destructible costumes will soon become the norm, which means anything can turn into "fetish" DLC.
The outfits of the destructable packs could get more easily lower quality textures being in the end the work of two costumes in one (of course this isn't right for the old generation or Steam version). I hope that this will not be the case.
That's my biggest problem with the destructible DLC. They have by far the worst textures and the lowest polygon count of all DOA5 DLC costumes. You would think, DLC costumes should actually look better, now that DOA5 is also running on PS4/Xbone and PC... So far I didn't buy one single costume from the Senran Kagura pack or the Deception pack, even though there were several costumes, that I would have really liked to own. But, sorry, I can't look at PS2 quality costumes in this day and age anymore, it gives me eye cancer. D:
I think TN uses these textures even for next Gen consoles so that last Gen console users won't feel left out since the game is already advanced on next Gen consoles. That's my biggest problem with the destructible DLC. Im sure TN can make more detailed costumes, but I think time and storage space is their optimal focus when making the costumes. I mean, what good is a detailed costume pack if it's a 3GB pack and it takes longer to make?Low resolution textures, shaders and low polygon models are also easier and quicker to make and the smaller file size makes distribution and storage more unproblematic.
really? I still have a soft spot/preference for ps1/N64 graphics. Less is more, youknow? That's my biggest problem with the destructible DLC. Although keep in mind, due to how texturing works, its understandable for "large segments" to sometimes have blurrier textures, while all the small details look better. These graphics are charming and perfectly fine within their games and within their console generation. But textures like this...
...don't really fit in with PS3/PS4 graphics like this:
Has voting for the halloween stuff even started yet?
Oh, must have missed that. Well, it certainly removes quite a bit of drama from the contest. And there's no place anywhere to see all the entries?
Well that sucks.No.
TN stated that there are 1500+ entries that were submitted, and we've barely publicly seen half of them. The rest was sent by email. They will probably keep them all for DLC inspiration and future designs if DOA6 were to happen.
