    All jokes aside, he looks dope, he was always one of those characters i thought looked cool but the second i got him in training mode i was all "dis guy iz 2 hard 4 me :/" hopefully that won't happen again lol

    On one hand I think chopping off bits of your completed game and reselling it as day 1 dlc is a disgusting business practice, on the other hand, Nyotengu and Phase 4 :(

    I don't think waiting for an ultimate edition is that absurb. I basically did the same with the original doa5 (bought it, didn't care for the roster, traded it in and didn't get back into doa5 until arcade edition came out), and I don't have a problem with dlc, as long as it's post launch, it's the day 1 dlc I have beef with, doesn't matter that it's Team Ninja, I'll call that shit out regardless

    Don't have an issue with Day 1 pre-order DLC, because, well, just pre-order the game or buy it day one. My issue is when little things (such as certain accessories) being locked behind $40+ Season Passes as opposed to being sold separately. And yeah, buy DOA6. Support Team Ninja. Waiting for an "ultimate edition" doesn't help them.

    Guess we all have out own personal problems with dlc, honestly my beef with this situation is they've pulled the day 1 dlc with a franchise I really like and its with 2 characters I actually intend on playing, trust me had it been 2 characters i could give a fuck less about like, christie and ryu, I would not be complaining about this at all lol
    Samrai Showdown comes out and looks like a last generation game, every1 rejoices. KoF14 comes out looking like a last generation game, every1 get mad. am i missing something here?

    KoF14 isn't a good looking game though. I mean it's a KoF so it's an amazing game, but visually they botched the transition from sprites pretty badly. Their next attempt will be muuuuch better.

    Somewhere along the line my brain forgot that up to -7 is considered safe (vs non grapplers), i thought it was up to -5 :/

    -6 for grapplers. -8 and worse for the general numbers. Sometimes it's not always the disadvantage numbers. That's just the offset of what you can do with those numbers. Recovery plays a major role whether people choose to believe it or not. It determines on how easy you can punish those moves when it lands on block and the resulting factor of getting it or not when you do it online or offline.

    Yeah, I c what u mean, decent recovery and fast start up can throw off what is a traditionally minus situation, like ein 4h+k, shit is mad minus on block but becuz it starts up so fast and has decent recovery, getting the guaranteed punish is tricky, be it offline or online
    so is there a reason why if you use Ein and Jann Lee 4p (and hitomi 8p and the 2nd part of christie 6h+k,k) at max threshold the opponents get pushed WAY out of range for follows up?

    Same reason some repeated moves knockdown. Its to prevent resets and what not.

    8P, P6P and 66P for JL. They're actually practical resets themselves, especially if done by the wall. Same thing can be achieved with Ein and Hitomi's 1K6P, I can't off the top of my head think of a character that can reset like this in any shape or form either, the frame data is different in all cases of course.

    With very specific settings in training mode you can also use these to break DOA5's 30 hit combo limit and get a 31, lol.
    Not gonna lie, T7 season 2 contains the most reasonable balance patch I've seen from a major fighter in a long time, it makes me hopeful

    The problem with it is that i12 is fast enough to interrupt most things with. So like. It's dumb.

    It would be fine on RD only, but with regular version and he gets 54 damage without rage? AND 90+ on the wall? Nahhhhhhh.
