Honoka was a who since the start and then 6 happened and TN shoehorned her into being Ayane's half sister God knows why.

I think the whole Honoka being Ayane's half sister more likely started from the Tag Team Outro when Honoka got paired up with Raidou when Honoka said "'Scuse me... Do I know you from somewhere?", if Honoka was a half sister of Ayane. It definitely had something to do with Raidou raping another woman (who is currently unnamed) like he did to Ayame which she wound up giving birth to Ayane. Thats coming from someone who didn't even played DOA6 Story Mode, but remembers pretty well about the relationship between Honoka & Raidou.

Exactly. Her ability to quickly copy other characters' moves just by looking at them is Raidou's signature power. They obviously had SOMETHING big set up for H***ka, but it was never, and never will be, properly realized.

i don't think that things will go back the way with DOA3-4 , any new doa game will be heavily micro transaction, only now TN researching new way to do it. (gacha)

If you're talking about a DOA fighting game? No. Because KT has no motivation to do so after DOA6 flopped for them.

If you're talking about a DOAX game? They probably will in the future because DOAXVV is the epitome of low effort, high profit.

I believe so as well Trick, but they have scrapped DOA Fighting and have no desire to go back to it.


All they would have to do is put all the Venus girls in there and give the fans the male characters (old and new) and of course fix everything.


It's just too bad as DOA is the best game.


Beyond the Horizon we might get a Virtua Fighter game or at least they may be back soon.

He seems to be responding to the recent posts talking a lot about Marie and Honoka's character development, and reminding us about the other newly introduced characters whom - to be fair - can use some work.

Diego just feels like he's there. No ties to DOATEC, no real motivation to join the tournament, nothing. Everything feels forced.

Nyotengu was reduced to a joke rather than a gateway character that can connect both DOA and Ninja Gaiden to the current point of the DOA timeline, and potentially making Rachel and Momiji relevant to DOA's story as well as being playable.

The writers seem ambivalent with what they want to do with Rig. Is he just an outlier for Donovan's conscience, or is he actually his son?

Mila was a missed opportunity to expand upon Diego's past and a potentially better backstory. Instead, she just has an unhealthy obsession with Bass.

And now Phase 4 is just an army of jobbers.

- Team is supporting Nioh and Nioh 2 for the time being, but eventually is gonna move on to new Projects.

- Next titles are completely new.

- Experience with these titles will lead to an even better Nioh afterwards.

- Currently 200 people are working in three teams at Team Ninja.

Yosuke Hayashi (President)

- Team is experimenting with smartphone games and games with rpg elements for new experiences

- Still focused on making games only Team Ninja can make

- New genre like open-world are considered to widen their target audience

- Interested in making sequels to DOA and Ninja Gaiden.

So like previously mentioned, Nioh will currently be in the dormant state since people thought the series is over. New titles sound dope. Here's hoping they skip DOA6 or any upgrades idea entirely (which they might do since Hayashi apparently mentioned "sequel) and just go straight to 7. Restart the whole thing. The worst news here is anything mobile related really. Everything else seems pretty dope.

If there is "even" a sequel, then for the love of everything, KT please properly give TN actual support, and please take your absolute time TN. Do not rush that game for anyone.

No he's attention seeking because all he posts is just the same "I told you so" type stiff or trying to prove a point posts that aren't there to begin with, like he tried to compare Honoka and Marie rose to Sylvie from KOF and Lucky Chloe from Tekken when there's nothing at all similar to compare about them since Honoka and Marie Rose are both basically just lolis who act like children while Lucky Chloe is not, she's just a weaboo blonde break dancer who's nowhere at all a loli and sylvie from KOF isn't either, she's just an oddball who behaves strangely but she's not a loli either, if he would have compared Marie and Honoka to say Alisa and Kula, I could see it but again he's like Camel, they both say stupid shit thinking they're making a point and then it's like crickets because they both miss the big picture or they're playing ditzy to the truth and I don't have time for that


And the lack of development is really because of the lack of a story in DOA6, the story doesn't really advance anything besides the ninjas and Nico and Honoka. And I don't think Phase is an army of jobbers, her bio suggests that there is one true Phase who has all of Kasumi's memories but I guess they don't want to introduce the true Phase 4 yet so they're using mook versions until they're ready for Kasumi to fight her which I always said made Phase's charactwr feel empty in 6 since when Kasumi first meets her, there's no real dialogue or interaction, she just floats in and they fight but that just shows how rushed the story is tho

Do I really have to say it? I love Team NINJA, but I’m kinda over the new IP thing. I definitely don’t want smart phone games or yet another new series. I come to Team NINJA for DOA and NG.

I thought Nioh series was pretty cool, but at the end of the day I would have preferred NG any day of the week.

We will see where the future goes I guess.

Anyway, the Ninja Gaiden titles are among my favorite games of all time, but there's been this rhetoric recently about how cool and perfect Ninja Gaiden is/was and how subpar Nioh is by comparison. But for all its magnificence, the Ninja Gaiden titles are often as flawed as they are marvelous. The genius of those games is frequently buried under mountains of stupidity that hamper the potential the series carries. When you boot up a Nioh title, you get exactly what's advertised from start to finish: quality content and excellence. When you boot up a Ninja Gaiden title, you get the absolute best of video games doused in a thick layer of confounding dogshit. I wouldn't be surprised if with the release of the Master Collection we find that some players' nostalgia has been cherry-picking boons from the games and glossing over their flaws, placing the series on an artificial pedestal that never really existed.
