Because they're guests ? You gotta remember that pai and Sarah were never DLC to begin with, Momiji and Rachel didn't get a debut set either Because they're officially a part of the DOA roster, And thus original characters. And like I said the debut set thing all started with Marie rose so I don't see what those irrelevant VF's have to do with the content in Mai's debut set.
I'm still kinda 50/50 on it, they probably won't give her the debut set, maybe KOF has some additional costumes from her native game they can give her and will charge for those? I have a feeling her defaults will be recolors with different motifs and stuff like in Maximum Impact 1 and 2. I could be wrong tho if KOF hasn't really given her different outfits aside from her default and recolors.

I really hope she doesn't just get recolours of her outfit and actually gets at least one other different outfit, and then as the 5 extra outfits she gets I hope are just the debut set.

She only has Recolors of her default costume, so I'm assuming that she will get those. And if you looked at the link I posted above you will see that Mai will get an debut set, and the KOF collab set won't only apply to mai because that would be the same as giving naotora SW costumes. 6 characters will be part of the KOF set and I think the 6 oldest KOF characters share their costumes with some of the fighters of DOA.

All Im saying is that since Mai is not a KT owned character, she shouldn't get some of the outfits that the other, KT owned characters get such as the cheerleaders, gym, and bunny suits. Sarah and Pai do not usually get featured in most fetish themes even after Marie came out, the only exceptions being the occasional swimsuit packs and the valentines day pack which gave costumes to EVERYONE. At most, I expect Mai's costume pack will be stuff from her home games and I guess at least one swimsuit...

Honestly though, I don't actually care about what costumes she gets (I dont even plan on buying her debut set), I'm just looking forward to trying her out when she releases. Maybe Ill even buy the other girl released this year while Im at it...

Tina as Angel and Lisa as Vice would make more sense aesthetically unless they'd want to have a Vice and Mature team with Lisa and Tina respectively.
Momiji as Asuka would be fitting but she can cosplay as Mai too. Marie and Honoka will probably get their own costumes guaranteed but I do hope they do some costumes for male characters too.
Bass cosplaying as Raiden would be awesome. Same for Raidou as Geese or Rugal or Hayate as Kyo. I can keep going on and on.
