Crushing dreams is roughly 30% of my entire lifelong posts possibly. Sometimes I do it for fun, sometimes I do it to help others that not everything is sunshine and rainbows with what they truly want. DOA is definitely one of the series where shit can hit the window quick before they'll even realize it, but yet surprisingly still make a profit out of it.

Nope, nothing and it's really pissing me off. XD When Naotora was shown like a couple weeks before release they shown her on stream, and even added her literally 2-3 days after that...why Mai is not shown yet is beyond me, but maybe they're not releasing her early September. I think they'll show something soon and release her in arcades after that and then release her around mid September and then release DLC....that or they do DLC first and then release her late September. The SNK company probably also want her release to be something like premium so maybe TN can't show anything until KOFXIV drops, it'd prevent DOA from overshadowing KOF since DOA Mai>KOFXIV Mai.

It makes perfect sense for them not to show anything of her yet so as not to draw attention from the upcoming KOF game but I do agree that its getting late for them not to be showing us any gameplay footage of Mai for last round. Im guessing she and the collab pack will release very late next month. Not that I mind, I have other things to look forward to early next month (like my bday).
I don't know about that, considering some GameStop stores broke the street date and people likely rushed to those specific stores to get a copy.

I sure wouldn't, Mai in KOFXIV isn't really my taste, her ponytail looks awful and her face is kinda harrowed in comparison to her DOA one, plus dat body looks better and more well proportioned in DOA, especially those hips and that hot long ponytail...

I personally dont buy into the whole thing about Mai looking better in DOA than she does in KOF, I see it as just her being redesigned by TN to better suit the "realistic" DOA visual style as opposed to KOF which is much less so. As Ive said before, Im more interested in seeing how well her playstyle carries over to DOA, I dont like all of the flashy effects in
's fighting style and I'm worried Mai will be just as flashy. Wont stop me from buying both when Mai does come out.At this point, I'm more interested in just finding out who will be featured in the kof collab pack, if Marie wont be featured (for once) I may just buy all 6...

After trying the demo, the game doesn't suit me. beside hardcore fans, i get that new gamers will tend to try the game cause it's bright and colorful

I'm kinda scared about this pack, only 6 costumes for a month's worth of DLC sounds pretty crummy, especially with those lame flowers we got this month....ugh, it feels like we got them so long ago. >.> As for Mai, I'm excited but then again not excited...idk, my reasons are kinda personal, but regardless I can't wait to try her out and see how she operates.
Next month is just gonna be like when Naotora was released tho, tons of people will say new main, try her out, and then drop her when they can't win/use her correctly, basically flushing out the loyalists who actually continue to use the character...that was me during the Naotora phase. XD But Mai is well liked so the flushing process will be much longer drawn out...I call it the "New DLC character Loyalist Strain" phenomenon.
