Oh yeah it didn't even click in my mind that the dlc costumes showed the rest of the stage. Well Tyaren called it then I guess.
@Tyaren see? I told you they removed the reflective floor
Tbf back then a single character didn't take like 80k polygons lol
I wonder why they didn't put that last bit of effort into the reflective floor? Maybe it was just to much work for a free patch stage? I still think the stage looks good without it though even if it is embarrassing that the old games did it better.
Yeah, it would have been too time consuming for just a free update (not want to call it lazyness... >.>).
Best case scenario is all their time and effort is on Ni-Oh
Crazy, but they actually took the time and effort to build fully modelled and textured rooms and character models twice, just a little less detailed, to have them pose as reflections... Cheating but still looking awesome to this day.
it didnt have the reflective surfaces in doad either.
It really says a lot about how well 3 holds up, no? As someone who goes back to play 2 ultimate, 3, and 4 regularly, I can see that 3 still manages to look good in comparison to 4 which doesn't look that much better than ultimate.A 15(!!) year old and two(!!) console generations ago game had more impressive graphics:
