It's weird to like DOA and do not like to have female fighters in the game.
Did you just say I'm weird?!
(yes, I'm weird :'( )
No but actually it's a bit different. I of course love female characters, but I hate JP games with only female characters (we can all think about a few 2D titles like that).
I liked the balance there was in DoA between female and male ones. A few more female ones would have been more than welcome for me, but from my very very very personal point of view we passed the threshold of acceptability and we're slowly walking towards those games I was talking about a few lines above.
Think about the new characters in the DoA series that were added in DoA5 and following updates.
Let's leave aside the VF characters for a second. How many male characters? 2.
How many female characters? I think it's... 8?
Now it's gonna get to 9. Yaiii.
See what I mean?
I'm not saying this is *wrong*, just that I would've liked to see a bit more balance instead of exploiting fan service so much.
It gets even worse when you see the additional bonus costumes and see how many of them are mainly just about getting the female fighters as undressed as possible.
I mean a few are fine, some are actually very original and I liked them a lot (Helena's Xmas costume, some Bikinis, some more).
The problem is that they overdid it.
Imho, of course!
Goin more specific, before seeing new characters (wether they're male or female) I would love to see other strictly doa-related characters that are currently missing.
They could re-invent Shiden and they could add Genra/Omega, which already had an interesting moveset in DoA dimensions tbf (Raidou too uses his DoA Dimensions moveset after all)
