Yeah, there was probably following clause in the contract between Koei Tecmo and Sega:
"Team Ninja is allowed to provide Akira with additional costumes, but only if they are f****** amazing and of double the polygon and texture quality of the other DOA males...especially Ein, who has to get the ugliest and laziest costumes of all."

Seeing how NyoTengu got a maid outfit, I am guessing more outfits could possibly be in the game that we don't know about yet?

It's pretty possible, but I also think that Akira is not felt as a simple character for the same Team NINJA: after all Viruta Fighter is uber popular in Japan and TN recognized more times how it's the father of DoA.

On a sidenote about outfits' discoveries, I'm pretty glad to have realized with this last trailer that Rachel outfit kept the "Alma" text (but maybe you had already seen it previously). The name was originally written on the sleeves, but I had noticed how in the in-game outfit this part was completely missing. Now I saw how actually they added it as an embroidered text on Rachel's chest.

I don't know what think the author @Candy Dragon about this alteration, but personally I'm really glad of this detail because not only give the idea that the name was an addition made in a second time on purpose for the outfit (that make more sense to see it printed), but even the placement of it for a time could not be tied to the fanservice but rather to a metaphorical meaning (Alma is written on the left of Rachel's chest, so on her heart).

I don't think there's more in the game. Nyotengu only got the maid costume, because she was the only character missing a fan designed costume (and people were going to complain @Brute ), because they could just copy paste the maid costumes of the other girls and because they missed the opportunity to sell her costume as costly DLC, when the original Maid DLC pack was released. I believe, Honoka's gym outfit is also meant as a substitute for a missing fan design costume. It doesn't really fit the rest of Honoka's wardrobe, is also a copy paste of old fetish DLC and didn't all new characters get only two different default costumes and color variations of it?

Everyone needs awesome in-character costumes, sexy or not, and no copy-paste fetish crud.

I'm not so sure on Honoka's gym outfit being a substitute, after all she is a schoolgirl and is Japanese: she would have definitely got that outfit sooner or later (together with the cheerleader one), but such gym uniforms are so popular and considered a sexy outfit in Japan that TN thought to make a favor to the interested fans including it for free in the disc. Also, I believe that for the characteristics overmentioned Honoka is pretty fitting for a similar outfits, definitely more than Christie, Rachel or Lisa XD

[Also, personally I think that the maid outfit is a funny outfit prettying fitting Nyotengu for some reasons, a shame that can't be really appreciated considering that is far from being an unique outfit in the vestiary of the game...]

Only Marie Rose got 2 outfits in 2 color variations at her debut (that appears pretty strange considering her popularity, very likely this was given from different priorities of the developers at the time) and Raidou (but being a male and a boss fighter, make sense to get a such portrayal to his debut). At their debut Phase 4 got 3 outfits in 2 different colors (6 costumes), Nyotengu got 3 outfits in 3 different colors (9 costumes) and Honoka got 5 6 outfits, 5 original ones (her C2 actually being a variation of her C1) and one common outfit (the gym one).
