Are you honestly lumping these two together? D:
The Hayabusa one is so rough and unfinished, it's no wonder, that it looks better in-game. Kasumi does look stunning in the artwork and stunning in-game however. I'm just a little disappointed, that they decided to change the blue, iridescent parts of her suit/bikini (whatever you want to call it XD) into this very dark blue, almost black color. But the costume has to function on PS3 and Xbox360 as well and I guess, the original would have meant texture and shader overload there.

Nope, no Helena special pick, but these two designs made it into the top 10:

I guess, place 6 has better chances. Place 7 is really close to Helena's new preorder bathing suit...and to be honest, I personally don't see Helena as a ballerina at all. :/ Yes, she is elegant, but she also feels/looks quite heavy and her fighting style isn't delicate but very strong and powerful. She's also crouching a lot instead of twirling or jumping... Marie Rose and Ayane would be great ballerinas imho.

I could see Team Ninja going with this design instead...
Meh...to be honest none of those designs really stood out to me. The artwork is fantastic and they're elegant but I think there are better submissions. Two of them are very casual and although I am a fan of Anthony's work I'm not feeling the swan outfit.
This one, had it been drawn at a better angle and fleshed out more could have won easily as Helena's best submission. It stays true to Helena and it has the "edge" to it that TN has been looking for in outfits:
I can definitely see both of these making it in. They were both staff favorites, and Dead or Alive Game liked the fan submission of Rawbie's Christie. That is a HUGE deal. When they like something it's serious. They liked the Raidou request and sure enough he's here now.

It's not unfinished at all, a lot of concept art is rough cause it's not supposed to be final work it's a process for the final design you see in the game. Team Ninja's art team was inspired by this artist's concept. same goes for Kokoro's Sleuth attire; the art isn't amazing but the concept is solid.Are you honestly lumping these two together? D:

Well, to me the Hayabusa design seems unfinished. Many things weren't fully worked out and left pretty vague.
I'm sure, the designer of Kokoro's outfit would consider his/her design finished. (I do too by the way.) Finished and detailed to the Roman numerals on the clock.
So far the costumes are exclusively from the first contest. Wait, Alpha's costume is not. It's Kasumi's school uniform with a texture swap.
Why would TN not choose a costume from the Halloween contest, if there's another Nyotengu one they like?
I have no idea, but weirder things have happened.
Hopefully they do, though. While obviously I'd like to see my design, there was also another submission that I like better than her current ones, as well. Either one being included would be welcome.

Got hands on a higher quality version of the trailer, and because we haven't seen @synce's Phase 4 in detail yet, I made some screens:
TN modeled the costume quite beautifully and intricately. There are some changes from the original design though. I wonder, why they decided against the breast pads and why they gave her these imho out of place high heels. :/

as stupid as the boob pads were they really made it worse :/

Yeah the high heels don't make any sense for someone who just broke out of the lab.
And I too am surprised that they didn't use the breast pads especially since if anything they were more revealing which TN likes. Regardless, it looks great and it really was the best design for P4 imo.

i forgot who made it, besides one person out of hundred saying they dont like one aspect about it isn't going to send them into a spiraling depression

I was looking through my pics and forgot I made this a while ago. I gave up b/c my photoshop/edit skills weren't up to par with the hooded Lisa design. XD
