News Team NINJA Costume Contest

I bought a brand new wacom tablet and I'm sticking to my guns and making my old submission in photoshop in a way that I'll finally be satisfied with so I can wash my hands of all this.

WIP so far. 3 more rough poses on the page, then linework and cleanup, and final shading.

I'm no @Tyaren or @synce but I AM stubborn lol.

WIP of the FIRST pose on the page (There's a total of 6. This could take a while lol. Two, forward and back with jacket, two forward and back without jacket and shades, then one showing the full jacket lettering, and finally a full size pose using my (imo) best art of Mila, with all the best detailing I can do.)

and omg I can't do baggy jeans to save my life.

So yeah. this is gonna take a while, but I needed a project to get my photoshop skills up anyway.

That is actually a really good picture! It would be cool to be able to change a couple of ladies hair color along with Style. Mila with Blue hair would be cool to see. Maybe a lighter or darker haired Kasumi or goth Hitomi. HAHA. The picture reminds me of Lita from the old WWF days with the underwear sticking out above the jeans. Unless I am looking at it wrong.

I don't know who that is, but I was inspired by John Cena doing the same (Boxers and shit exposed above shorts). And this is supposed to be "MMA SUPERSTAR" outfit.

This is taking a while, but I'm slowly making progress.

Kasumi: Opposite of most of the costumes. It looks way better in game than it did in the submission.

Phase 4: I still wish they would have given her the short hair Sync included in his submission, to help differentiate her from Kasumi, visually. I like the costume, kinda wish it wasn't tattered though. Still cool.

Also, I like how on one page, they fixed how they were presenting her. Side by side they have her "cute" hairstyle on the schoolgirl outfit, which fits far better, and they have her normal "boyish" hairstyle on the Metal Slug outfit, which looks far better.

That might be, because the costume design was actually pretty rough:

Not to say anything negative, but Team Ninja had to design much of this outfit themselves. It seems, they gave him a breast plate and shin armor, which looks very cool imho.

Take the hat off, and Mila's Police dlc is EXTREMELY Similar to the Contest costume.

While I'm still dissappointed in the daisy dukes, I am MUCH more accepting of Mila's Metal Slug costume with her normal boyish hair.

Seriously i'll be playing this every time I use that costume.

Is there a high res of the one with Mila and Tina in their new hairstyles? I wanna see Mila with her "cute" hair in that schoolgirl outfit in hi rez. Prove my theory that the new hair will work on the costumes that didn't really suit Mila before. Creating Mila's opposite twin sister lol.

Nope, no Helena special pick, but these two designs made it into the top 10:

I guess, place 6 has better chances. Place 7 is really close to Helena's new preorder bathing suit...and to be honest, I personally don't see Helena as a ballerina at all. :/ Yes, she is elegant, but she also feels/looks quite heavy and her fighting style isn't delicate but very strong and powerful. She's also crouching a lot instead of twirling or jumping... Marie Rose and Ayane would be great ballerinas imho.

Mila \m(i)-la\ as a girl's name has the meaning "miracles; favored" and is a variant of Milagros (Spanish): refers to the Virgin Mary as Santa Maria de los Milagros. Also a variant of Milena (Czechoslovakian, Slavic): popular in the Czech Republic.

It's a name owned from the culture of both the nationalities, but you read the part not related to the Mila from DoA with Spanish origins.
