Do you think Marie-Rose was planned for DOA5 or was she created from scratch between DOA5 and DOA5U ?

Donovan (with Genra/Raidou's moveset) would be the easiest solution. But I'd rather have Mimick Donovan, like Mokujin in Tekken. I guess it won't happen..

I think that it's pretty possible that TN had already the idea to include a such character in DoA5, maybe not exactly Marie Rose but anyway a gothic loli character fighting through a peculiar moveset. However the limited resources forced them to take different decisions, as to exclude Leon, Ein and Tengu, just as to give the priority to a more ordinary female character as Mila with a more traditional fighting style.

I know only that the official explanation of Hayashi for not including Marie Rose in the DoA5U disc was just the unconventional nature of the character in the roster of the series so far, thing that pushed them to think that was better to leave the choice to the players if to decide to get her or less, giving instead the priroity to the presence of favourites charas from the fans.

About Donovan, personally I'm never been to much fond of mimic character as Mokujin, even if IMO are trully fun to use: personally I prefer a mimic style as Raidou or Dural, however just my taste =)

I know that this may be a bad place to ask this but who is a character that works just as well offline and online? My first thought is Jann Lee but his idle animation annoys me. Is there a character like him that I could sub?

The only time I can use Christie as well online is if there isn't that may people in the room and they must have good connections(4+). How the hell does Awesmic do that shit?

You have to keep in mind though, that Team Ninja's English isn't the most accurate/precise, in what they understand, when we ask them something and in what they then reply to us. We believe, there have to be more characters, because we take, what they write, absolutely literal. But even the "We told more fighters" is actually not proper English... So, what exactly did they tell more fighters? ;)

Also, I wouldn't focus too much on the design of a website, but on the design of the actual game. And in the actual game, there is no more space after the addition of the Nyo Tengu icon. They can't really get rid of the random character select icon and completely redesigning the character select screen will proof quite tricky (let me tell you that as a graphic designer). It has to be practical, make sense and look good.

Space on a character select screen will never be a cause to add or not add someone and I'm pretty a sure creating a character from scratch is much much harder. And while a website isn't concrete evidence, keep in mind unlike the character select screen it has taken into account all of the exra characters planned.

And while possible they have mistaked our words several times there is an equal if not greater possibility that they are using the correct words.

lol @Irene before she had her boob job and the after. If they do put her in I demand that the have the before and after costume. That would be hilarious.

Also @EMPEROR_COW I really wish that people would have raged about the netcode as much as they have raged about the guys not having as many outfits as the girls. We would have been able to have some realistic online training by now.

I already complained about everything in DOA5 and many others complained about DOA5 game design and its policies.And who complains about everything mostly complains about men costume ignorance. I think crazy girl fetishists should complain about netcode.

Based on the observations of certain players I fought on alternate accounts without them knowing, I'm apparently a "lag abuser" who uses "online tactics". But that's a story for another day.

I'm not going to complain about something obvious, I'm pretty sure they know the net code isn't good and they just can't do anything without overhauling the game.

You could always make a joke character. A character that uses each individual character move set in the roster for every round.

1 round you are Helena, 2nd round you are Hayabusa, 3rd round you are Eliot (4th if your opponent takes a round on you which could be Tina, Bayman, Brad Wong, Kasumi, Rig, Bass, Leon. etc.)

I wouldn't be so sure of that. The netcode may well just be fine to Japanese players because they have far superior infrastructure which was the case with Street Fighter and a few other games with infamously bad netcode here in the States and Europe.

I fought a Marie Rose earlier and I could not for the life of me punish this cunt and she was using the most troll like tactics imaginable. I took my ass-whooping and raged. No sticks were harmed so I am improving my anger management skills.
