Ok thanks for clarifying. I understand what you mean about the diagonal jab now. But imo a low diagonal jab doesn't have the power to lower, or more forcefully, smash the opponent to the ground. Its a weaker move, not as strong or forceful as say an overhead. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this bit lol.
About sweeps, Momiji's combos with 1PK as an ender can hit an opponent in the air from my memory. Sorry, I can't find a video showing this.
You want to make a 3D fighter without juggles? That means a fighter without lifting moves, or throw's which leads to combos on airborne opponents . Do you imagine damage is done purely from 1 hit moves, or combos/strings on stunned opponents standing on the ground? Just curious ^^.
On jabs, that's why I think it shouldn't do more than...yak now, jab. It shouldn't launch at all.
On sweeps, I've had sweeps knock mila and Leon out of their leaping overheads, and its really frustrating
On 3d fighters, I imagined it...well basically exactly the same, but without launchers. Basically lot less flopping around. If you hit someone, what would have been a juggle would instead be a stun. Like if you do an upwards strike, the opponent will recoil upwards but still be on their feet. (Like leons up PPP move. The first two hits of it results in the opponent being smacked around. Instead of launching with the third hit, they'd either be stunned, or knocked back. Possibly up at a diagonal angle to fly backwards).
Id have launchers as finishers, not extenders, essentially. Id need to iron it out obviously, but that's the gist of it.
