Agreed wanting a new character to have a certain nationality or ethnicity doesn't make a person obsessed with it, it just means they want that certain nationality in the game giving it more variety.

Funny how the same people saying that are the same people who want Tengu in DOA5U and males in DOAX3. Are ya obsessed to?

Doesn't matter though, that doesn't meanthey can't be added to the game. God some of ya are so close minded

And if someone knew enough about Korean culture or at the very least had the knowledge based on their clothes or name would tell

is obviously Chinese

i doubt anyone here would be able to tell if a character was even Korean or not even if they did add them to the game lol

Seriously dude, is people wanting a Korean in DOA really that much of a burden for you

Exactly, I find in mind boggoling how people are against others wanting a certain nationality for a new character.

Edit: I knew Hworang, Seoung Mina, Baek do san, Kim, and Chae Lim were Korean

Well yes actually I am obsessed with a character (I take it you haven't seen all of my photoshop pics?) that actually exists and was in DOA2, 4, and D. And no one is against you wanting a Korean in the game, just the fact that you're focusing primarily on the nationality and making it the main attribute of the character and we're reminding you that nationality is pretty much meaningless in the game. Rig is Canadian, Marie Rose is Swedish, none of which has ever mattered. So you would literally get an Asian character who has the word "Korean" next to nationality and that would be it.

i'm going to save myself 4 paragraphs by just writing the tdlr, version

wanting a character to rep a country is ok especially if there's a huge fan base in said country, wanting a character due to simply clothing articles is a no and you can slap those close on lei fang/kasumi

telling the difference between a name is not the same thing as telling the difference between nationalities its just a good indicator. a korean is more than just a name and fashion design

Sorry but I gotta say something, how does wanting a Korean just because affect you. Korea has a different culture from lots of other asian countries (and countries as a whole) and based on modern day Korea, it's not much a suprise to why people want one in DOA

It's annoying as shit when people tell you you can't want a certain character nationality in DOA

You know what would be cooler than a Korean?

An inter-dimensional demon!

TENGU!

Exactly, I want one in DOA to represent South Korea

telling the difference between a name is not the same thing as telling the difference between nationalities its just a good indicator. a korean is more than just a name and fashion design

But if you knew what a Koreans name was and see "some" of the clothes they'd wear, you can tell

Example, say TN adds a girl named Hyuna, if people knew enough about Korean culture or just what a Koreans name is they'd know she was Korean. Tell me you wouldn't know Lei Fang was Chinese or something
