Keep taking notes TN
Although I wouldn't mind if they stole Ekaterina's school swimsuit (if they were planning on giving her one):

Photographer: Now Marie hold still and smile while Mila and Helena beat the crap out of each other behind you. XD

Yu won't know till u try her owo. But I hope everyone gets aerial bounds. Cause that's how they should work :(. Launch - aerial bound - ender. ;o
Theres a part of me wanting to scream "if thats what you want play Tekken tag tournament 2 where every character has one " but theres also a part saying "Then each character would lose their unique-ness such as tina and lisa they dont need Bounds but still rock!"

And Mila players who are tackle spammers are still tackle spammers. What's your point?

Watch when they're baiting you and it shouldn't be as much of an issue.

Well, the major flaw in that comparison would be that there's a bajillion ways to wind up in Mila's mount tackle, while there's only, what...the regular command grab, and the hold version of the Izuna? So while you can wind up in Mila's mount tackle a dozen times in a row without once spamming, spamming is pretty much the only way to have that many Izuna's.

Either way, your "advice" is irrelevant since nowhere did I say anything about having trouble with izuna spammers. I just said "izuna spammers", as an example of a character with one grab that must be spammed to truly qualify them as a "grappler". As opposed to say, Alex, bayman, etc, who are actual grapplers with a plethora of technical grapples, which is what I was hoping Marie Rose was going to be.

I'm not so found of the pigtails.

And she just went from obnoxious to cute as hell in a heartbeat.

Aah. Keep in mind that we haven't seen any skilled players play Marie Rose yet. All of the people we've seen play her seemed pretty strike-happy and not keen on using many of her grabs, which, according to the move list, there is a pretty wide range of.

And lets be honest, even most skilled players are more strike happy, even with grapplers, so i will admit its hard to judge until I can try her myself. BUT I'm just giving my two cents on what I do have to work with, which is the vids.

Do you mean Ryu players who hold-bait a lot? Theres is simply no other way to spam izunas, since it is one of the slowest throws in the game.

Anyway her bound-tatsu combo looks sick. I wonder if her expert holds are meant to deal more damage or create set ups.

No, hold baiting is simply the only way to SUCCESSFULLY spam Izuna's, but that's also the most successful way to land any grapples, period, so kind of a moot point.

AND izuna spammers shouldn't be a problem just PUNCH and voilà! you don't get thrown! You say that like there is no way to counter izuna throws when there are so many ways to do just that

And where did I ever say or imply izuna spammers were a problem? And even if they were, how is that in any way relevant to me just using Ryu as an example of a character being classified as a "grappler" despite only having one command grab that people use, as in, spamming his Izuna to qualify him as a "grappler"?

If they aren't a problem, why are you complaining about them? Why are you giving them a second thought?

He has plenty of useful throws and multiple OHs, which someone here already described, and a 4 frame throw. He's a grappler. In fact, I just checked his movelist and he has 27 throws. If some Bass players spammed only one throw despite having access to a lot, would that mean Bass isn't a "grappler" anymore? I don't get what you're trying to say.

44P+K
67H

Cliffhanger T
All regular tag partner throws
Tag init. Momiji or Tina 66H+P+K w/ Ryu on backup

There's tons of ways to enter the Izuna, rofl. And Ryu experts will use almost all of them.

I'm a very throw-oriented player. You have no fucking idea how throw oriented I am. Ask around. They'll tell you.

No, hold baiting is simply the only way to SUCCESSFULLY spam Izuna's
Actually, I'm able to free-cancel blocked strings into an Izuna. You can condition those with good yomi. I also use both the standing and crouching version of the Izuna as punish throws for -13 moves on block, or if I think my opponent will block knowing they're unsafe. I also get an Izuna from a full strike chain (CB->Shoho Izuna). I also use Izunas as a wake-up punish. I also use them from Power Launchers, which I use from CBs or as a gap-closing mid-crush punish. I also use the hold variants. I also use the Shoho as a gap-closing high crush.
There are TONS of different set-ups and ways to use Izunas. You obviously have no clue what you're talking about.

He is a grappler. As I just pointed out above, you are totally ignorant of the character, how he's played, what his tools are and what his set-ups are.

True Izuna "spammers" know that one set-up can't win a round. Thus, they are forced to learn the character in-and-out to know different ways to net their izunas. Obviously, you're playing scrubs. If you ever make your way onto PSN, I'll show you what a true Izuna Spammer looks like. I'll make your head spin (literally).

This is the same ignorance observed in the Leon thread.

If u can land max damage at a given situatuon.. then that is the optimal punish, spam or not. Its common sense really. The reason you dont see much madness or spamming in high level matches is because in most cases the opponent is aware of the situation and does what he can so that he doesnt fall into the same scenario 100 times as a scrub would.

But when the opportunity arises, you can bet your ass that izunas gonna come out

I don't fall for izunas. Im too clever for that.
I can change that.
Don't forget to post the match
I agree XD
First to three. Here they are.
Note that the last round of match 3 was pretty laggy, and the first match of round 4 reached unplayable lag. But then about half a minute into that fight it all smoothed out. Online being dumb I guess.

If anyone else would like to test their mettle against the divine power of the Izuna Drop, you know where to find me.

I need to start playing more. Because when I start playing again, it feels like my skills has been lying dormant for too long and I start to drop combos, etc. Lol gg's though @Brute
