What if we even managed to get in the top three in that One Frame Link Bonus Prize Poll? So much dang money to be had here!

This topic was pretty much over and done with when some other tournament players left it be. Now it's mostly casuals and online players spouting garbage.

Can you I'm imagine if everyone that voted showed up to a tournament? We'd have 129 people. So crazy.

This, so much this, seriously...

The reality of it is this: This community or I should say "we as a community" are too soft. When someone steps in & say something of the things like Hajin & Shade both did, they take offense to it when they really just want the offline scene to grow. Instead of trying to realize & understand where they're coming from, they get offended & mad. Just like when you critique somebody on what they need to work on in terms of getting better, & you list what they're doing wrong, they're convinced that you're just "hating" or saying that "they suck" when you're just trying to help them especially when they say they wanna compete. Just like when someone online comes & boast about their wins online towards someone who plays offline a ton & then they get mad about it, but sometimes it be the other way around.

Lose-lose situation.

Some really don't have the money to go (like me), some actually don't care.

Thing is "offline community" is so much more than just meeting up at tournaments every so often. We need to meet as friends to play offline as well. Whatever happened to meeting up at a buddy's place with other friends to play some games? Maybe I'm getting old and nostalgic. I remember a different, more friendly time when people actually met for recreation and one didn't have to worry about one's posts getting deleted just because they were light-hearted and, Lord forbid, funny observations to add levity to an otherwise mean-spirited thread. One would think a discussion about a video game could be something we old-timers call "fun." Maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

That is what offline gatherings are for, I go to Vincent Rayne's every Sunday for casuals and to hang out. So does Boobiebombs, Air Gear, Dii, Snakz, and new players we get from time to time.

Hell, I stayed at SomewhatMental's place for a week after BOTBIII for practice and to hang out. Even played online with some players that has wanted to play me.

Meeting up at another player's place or a venue is a good start for making friends. This is something Team BEST has been saying (and stressing) time and time again over at DOAWorld for players but so many there are so comfortable in their little bubble and imagination lands.

We, as well as other players here at FSD, stress the same thing here and on facebook too. So yes, offline meet ups are definitely a reality and not a myth. Some people just refuse to get out.

Regardless of offline or online most people seem to want this character banned. I'd image the numbers would be even more skewed in her ban if it was just offline tournament players voting.

Its too early to say imo of what the "community" thinks on this topic because 1) Even though "yes" is winning atm, its not really looking like a clear cut unanimous decision since both choices are fairly split and 2) Current poll sample size is too small anyway with only a little over a hundred people voting so far.

So, what would be a realistic number of votes for the DOA community?

Based off the results I would say that there are not enough yes selections to warrant a ban on this character. If it was a complete-utter blowout I would understand making a decision like this. But too many people disagree.

You don't need a blowout when you have a majority.

To all of the people who have DOA5U already, Eman, SR, PL, NykNyks etc. Please advise to everyone of Alpha's changes so there's no more bickering of "no one will know what she's like etc". Thanks. :) I do know from PL's stream TODAY. That 33T got buffed. Used to be 60 raw dmg. Now it's 75. :)

The majority do not like a lot of characters, but that's too bad.

Seriously? I'm looking into this for myself.
