Team NINJA released version 1.12 for Dead or Alive 6 on all platforms yesterday and followed up their update today with official patch notes listed at their website. Version 1.12 fixes various bugs and makes adjustments to the balance of the game that can be discussed over at the DOA6 system & character boards here at Free Step Dodge. Team NINJA improves the quality of the game with additional fixes that don't directly impact gameplay, and also begin their 'Revival' DLC series with bunny costumes for the female characters.

The Dead or Alive 6 World Championship concluded at 8pm EST with exciting Top 8 matches at The Fall Classic live from North Carolina. Despite being qualified already for the main event, Killy competed with Tina for his share of the 5,000 dollar prize pot. Team NINJA's Dead or Alive 6 World Championship continues with three events throughout the next seven days with the EU East Online Tournament, Kumite and the TGS Fatal Match which showcased new Dead or Alive 6 content after Top 8. This TGS tournament is also about the passion of the players with over 100 fighters in attendance looking to punch their ticket to the main event. Team NINJA is generating more hype for their game universe by including Nioh 2 in their exciting mix of new content featured at TGS 2019.

The EU East tournament is the third entry to the Dead or Alive 6 World Championship online tournament series giving players all over the world an opportunity to compete for qualifier points. You can watch the provided stream at 11am Pacific Time, and you can see by checking the standings at Smash.GG that this will be a very intimate event with only 7 players registered! Some of these tournaments have had decent turnouts, but this series is proof that what the players want at the end of the day is to invest their time into offline tournaments which have been successful thanks to the community and Team NINJA's support!

The new 1.10 update adds a few minor functionalities to the PS4 micro-transaction experience of Dead or Alive 6, fixes some bugs that are still currently unlisted on the official Team NINJA site, and adds three costumes with color variations that can be purchased with your player points. If you are unable to make individual purchases you are encouraged to wait until later on today, and the timing of availability could also be reflected by your region. The official site point leader board has not been updated yet, but this hard-earned victory has bumped Kwiggle to the top of the NA chart with a current total of 460 points! This summer Dead or Alive 6 has been part of a special Wednesday Night Fights (WNF) series that gives NorCal and SolCal fighters a chance to qualify for Summer Jam 2019 as part of the road to the finals for the Dead or Alive 6 World Championship. Level Up's event tonight at 8pm PST will determine who qualifies based on the number of points they have accrued throughout this series.

On June 5th iApprentice won the first 50 points by defeating Hajin's legendary Ayane and Domo's Kokoro playing as Eliot. Apprentice dominated this event and it's clear that his experience since maining Eliot in Dead or Alive 5 has transitioned nicely to DOA6 despite Eliot's plethora of gameplay changes.

Team NINJA unveiled a brand new season for DOA6, and it all begins with a brand new stage just in time for the summer. This stage is none other than Seaside Eden, and it comes with a swimsuit costume pack for 26 characters and 12 additional tracks.

Seaside Eden continues the beach theme much like previous DOA games, but this one came with a few bells and whistles. Falling coconuts, slip stuns, and rebounding volleyball nets are one thing to watch out for, but the main draw of the stage is a special Danger Zone that triggers the use of dolphins. It may also interest you that this is the first DOA stage to incorporate Stage Fatalities where if you use the Fatal Blow near the gate, it will send your opponent flying across the ocean.
