Quick How To!

1.) Plug a USB storage device into your xbox360. Goto Storage and format the device as a usable xbox360 storage device.

2.) Copy all your screenshots from your HD to your USB Drive

3.) Unplug your USB Drive and Plug it into your PC

4.) Download "Party Buffalo". Press CTRL+D to bring up the Device Selector. Your USB Drive should appear! if not then your USB is not properly formated, or PB is unable to obtain file access...

get Horizon here (Others recommend as an alternative)

5.) Now navigate your USB pen to the following folder DATA\<YOUR PROFILE>\4B5607DA\00000001\

which should contain files like ALBUM_________________ ... copy these to your desktop or something

6.) Extract the Conversion package I provided uptop into its own folder. then copy your screenshot files into that folder.

7.) Double-Click on "_CONVERT.BAT" and tell me what happens...

Hi. It does not work for me, but i'm a noob with computers...

I copied the pics on a USB device that works on my xbox360. But when i put this device on my computer, i only have a xbox360 folder wich contains "Data0000, Data0001, Data0002 and Data0003".
Where/How am i suppose to find this "DATA\<YOUR PROFILE>\4B5607DA\00000001\" folder?

I don't really get the "Press CTRL+D to bring up the Device Selector" either?

(My computer runs Windows XP Pro BTW)

Thanks.

the xbox360 originally used its own file system, possibly as a security measure to prevent data tampering.

So instead of the 360 formatting your stick into the 360's FATx filing system it stores data files onto a FAT32 filing system. this means you can pop your device into any device or PC. Other which your PC just would not be able to read the FATx

Strangly Microsoft does no provide PC tools for managing or backing up for data on your memory stick. Fortuntely however there are free tools out there that will let you manage the data off your memory stick

so in summary, you have to browse the data off your memory stick using a special FATx Explorer.
Party Buffalo and Horizon are two exmaples

Thank you for this. I wanted a good shot of Mila in her bikini, and this does nicely.
