Sooo...what do you guys think of the look of Team Ninja's most recent game Nioh (so far announced exclusively for PS4)? Here some direct feed screens:

I think it looks good...but not overwhelmingly good, certainly not as good as Bloodborne imho (sorry, that comparison had to be, lol). But it's probably the best glimpse we have so far of how DOA6 might look like when developed exclusively for this generation's consoles.The character models look quite nice so far...and Bayman is also already in.

I like how they did the hair. Not too different from DOA5's imho still good looking hair but with more detail and individual strands of hair.

Okay so its like Tecmo's contender for bloodborne etc. It looks okay from a game play stand point. I was never really a fan of those games. The graphics though do make me excited for the developments in the DOA series.

I like it! I'm not sure I'll get the game myself but this is basically a sneak peek as to how the the DOA6 game will look. While Xtreme 3 shows how the girls will look, NIOH seems to show that the guys will be way more detailed than before, probably up to par with the ladies themselves in terms of polygons. :-D

Up to par with how the ladies are now in DOA5. ;P The DOA6 girls will probably be made of a million polygons each. XD

Yeah, the girls will forever be light years ahead in the detail and polygon department. The lighting and environments look pretty good too, so there's hope for more dynamic and detailed stages. As for the hair strands, it looks like they've been taking some notes from the Final Fantasy luminous engine makers.

The only thing I miss with the hair again: It's still not casting shadows on the face underneath. That also always irked me with DOA5. It's like it is glowing and it's own source of light:

To be honest a lot of characters suffer from overly shiny hair. Lol in doa5 hair doesn't even appear on the persons shadow. That should be something they work on for doa6 since all the small things really add up.

I hope they haven't gave up on the Soul series bsince the last two games didn't have a great reception from most fans. I actually thought 5 wasn't that bad but I did miss characters.

I actually still create characters in that mode which I guess shows how great and varied it is. That's actually one of the biggest things that has me excited for sc6. And I think Viola is Amy with amnesia.

Talking about Soul Calibur...They could literally just port these stages over to SC6 and they would still look great. They are so far ahead in graphical fidelity of any last generation fighting game:

Modelling, texturing, shading, lighting etc. everything is top notch!

Yeah, you didn't know? You probably wouldn't, there isn't a lot of activity in it for...obvious reasons. It's now basically just us posting hopeful messages and images of us waiting for the next announcement XD

Wait, Revelator is not really a graphical update of Guilty Gear Xrd though, right? It's still a PS3 game in full HD on PS4. Imagine if this was a real PS4 game. O: The artstyle is already amazing (best anime style recreation in 3D in any game yet!) and the characters are modelled fairly well...but this could look even smoother... Some recent images of Revelator:

Is Guilty Gear a difficult series to get into? I am very attracted to the game's look for quite some time, but I heard it's not very casual friendly.

Competitively its hard but casually its actually super easy.

As for nioh it just looks like Samurai Gaiden

Yeah... People on streams make jokes like "is this a PS2 game!?" About DOA5LR but in actuality its still one of the best looking current gen fighters going atm SFV and Tekken pale in comparison really. They might have better environment graphics though
