10 frame high and 12 frame mid, definitely not a grappler (and her throw damage is only meh, not good enough to be a grappler). Expert holds sure, but probably best used defensively like Lei Fang or a stance whore like Helena and Christie.

if your primary way of getting damage is through grapples then your a grappler. sure Christie can open you up with her jak throw, but you aren't going to win any matches relying mostly on it. it works the same for the other grapplers, i can get decent damage with Bayman via hits, but im always grappling in some form or another whether is ground grabs, OHs, or punishing counters. dam near every thing he does is meant you to set up for a grab even if its at the end of a hit string.

Thing is, most of your damage with Leon is actually coming from strikes, because people are going to do anything they can to prevent him from getting his throws (even if that means stupidly mashing buttons or w/e). Transfer that to Hayate, Kasumi, or Hitomi who have enough mix-ups and speed that you're regularly forced into blocking and/or holding against them, which lets them net their 41236T/236T/6T/33T throws and throw juggles frequently, if said players are on point. Thus, by that logic, Hayate/Kasumi/Hitomi get as much damage from their throws as Leon does because they can bait them easier. If going by your definition, that would make them grapplers as well.

Any more news as for when we can expect her at the consoles?
No.

I just read that she was a grappler before so all I was saying is if that is true, with her frame data she could be set up to be the best grappler in terms of being able to ... well grapple.

She uses systema which is a defensive style for throwing your opponent off balance and landing attacks to opponents pressure points so she's a hold type character. She's more comparable to Lei Fang than anyone else

Bayman would also fit this criteria, as he is more of a "hold specialist" than anything.

What I meant by that was overall damage of throws/counters, sorry if I didn't make that clear enough. You yourself use a grapple character. If your main is actually Bayman? Marie Rose ( from what we've seen ) does not play out like a grapple character... so that's why I don't think she will be "the strongest" grappler. I'm not referring to sole damage of a single throw.

Sorry so then alpha is your strongest grappler? Sorry again, I just read she was supposed to be a grappler and from her stances and advance / OHs, and from what I got from systema I was saying if TN does call her a grappler she's going to be the strongest grappler , highest tier grappler, grappler with the best MUs IF she was considered a grappler which @XZero264 pointed out she wasnt.

Bayman can be considered a hold type but his power also comes from his throws which is why he's also seen as a grappler. Lei Fang is 100% hold type having every type of hold in the history of fighting games OH, DH, parries, Sabaki's, and a sabaki stance. Marie Rose from what I've seen shares most of those countering tools with Lei Fang making her the 2nd character specializing 100% in holds.

Bayman doesn't have sabakis, but he has all of that other stuff.

If she were 100% holds she'd be in trouble because unlike Leifang she has no parries, no combo holds/OHs and is a super featherweight.

Marie Rose also deals with footsies, having a SS stance and a roll that crushes mids, as well as a third retreating stance. Like I said, she seems to be built as an evasive/deceptive/defense character, but she most certainly is not 100% holds. Not even 80%

Well, I mean, even Sarah has a parry stance, a "parry", OHs, and a "command sidestep" too. :v #1 defensive character.

Well, I'm officially confused. Marie Rose's style being Systema means nothing if you've seen it performed in real life, and compare the two. She fights more like a Lili/Alisa tekken hybrid, and neither of those characters are remotely grapplers. I'm just going off what I'm seeing though... could just be people are utilizing her wrong? I don't know.

She seems to have the speed and power of Kasumi, the throws of Bayman, the holds/sabaki of Lei Fang, and the stances of Christie... With her own touch of playstyle.. Pleased to say I'm excited
